As even more rockets climb into orbit, 2021 is further cementing that this is only the beginning of the new 'Roaring 20's' ☆screencap of Crew-2 ignition from SpaceX YouTube channel...☆

@SpaceGeekSheri Have you ever plugged Starbase and your home into Google Maps to get a drive time estimate... Mine was 36 hours, lol. I used to be able to drive for about 18 hours, gas/bathroom stops before needing a nap. 2-3 hour nap would give me at least 6 more hours of driving...

@BWalkerTTAGGG Also drove onto a small short stump once. Caught a nylon line that went over the cannon, slid over the glacis plate and caught the sides... tore the side and back panels off the turret. I told the guest turret gunner that was up there 'you better duck'...

@BWalkerTTAGGG I've seen a few close calls and heard about more. Never had any real issues ourselves with players... had some run-ins with trees through. Didn't see a branch that had been cut and drove the uncut piece through the through the turret. Scared our cannon operator that time.

I am surprised Artemis II launched. I honestly expected a damn valve problem. I was also surprised at how fast SLS jumped off the pad. Very cool. 😎😎😎

@BWalkerTTAGGG Fits though... maybe. In theory, it'd be modular if I get it working. Easy to add new tanks afterwards. 1st tank was a Tiger, 2nd was a Panther sticking with cats for the car/truck sized ones, might talk to Milwaukee, lol. Gotta golfcart that's supposed to be an M41 Bulldog...

@allcot_j Heretic, you know the Hellcat isn't a tank. And why doesn't X have a "tank" emoji? It certainly has enough tankies. My emoji-stealing skills are apparently crap

@BrassKickerLLC As a NYer who spent most of the first 2 years of my life in Texas & has a lot of family in Florida, lived there myself for a few months... There's no way 3 doesn't win. Hell, I doubt you'd even be able to get 4 to work together. You wouldn't even get NY to work with NY, lol.

@BWalkerTTAGGG We drove around at 3 to 4 mph. Mostly paintball. It was in either 48 or 49 games the years it was active and 1 airsoft game. I was finding airsoft bbs in it for more than a year after that. I have to build a new tank. I'm trying to figure out an M18 Hellcat on top of my Tacoma.

The Nazis fired their best poison-gas guy because he was Jewish... and yet they STILL ended up the only power with Nerf Gas in WW2. (Soman and GB, IIRC). Good thing they never realized that no one else had it, or they would have converted their old Pz.Kpfw. IIIs to your version and rolled right through Kursk. That looks like a heck of a setup for Airsoft or paintball. Is there any provision for keeping it from running over the players somehow?

@BWalkerTTAGGG I do keep wondering if a Polywell fusion reactor design could be built to work as a rocket engine... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

@allcot_j DON'T DO IT! If you MUST build small useless rocket engines, at least build ion engines or something else where the parts will be useful for other projects. Also, it's a good thing HAMAS never read his book.

The Goddess of Specific Impulse...

@allcot_j This is the Goddess of Specific Impulse, according to Grok. How does Grok know so much theology?

@BWalkerTTAGGG As a self proclaimed 'Tech Druid' I think i simply must add her as a lesser diety for our family's non religion, hahahaha. I'll have to build an altar in the backyard for sacrificing valves to her... 🤣🤣🤣 😎😎😎

@BWalkerTTAGGG Well, we never qualified in being quiet or unobtrusive... Cannon fired the Nerfs and we had a decent sound system with 6x9 speakers hidden behind the front track/gears.

By far the most dangerous rocket made. Quiet, unobtrusive, and the foam easily carries a lethal payload of VX/DMSO. Also, doesn't use those metal rods... those are the only things that ever injured anyone in model rocketry AFAIK. A couple kids blinded themselves trying to reach down to the rocket.

@allcot_j Yes. Unfortunately I also read his model rocket book and wasted a bunch of time burning solid rocket fuel, which even at the time I knew was heresy against the goddess of Isp.

@VirgilVanValanc @xdNiBoR @elonmusk Keep in mind... a noted high level expert at ESA/Arianespace once firmly stated that along the lines that economical orbital booster reuse was a dream... lol. Unlikely also doesn't mean impossible. Strange things happen in life.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@theodorus5 @ATinyGreenCell Possibly. I imagine it depends on what he was directly involved with. The truthful stuff could have been stuff he heard rumors about with no direct knowledge. Although as far as alien visits go, I do like the implications for FTL travel...

I really hope Bob Lazar's story is fake. I really don't want aliens to be a thing we need to worry about. He's been so consistent and some of the things he mentioned got declassified years after he spoke of them. I hope he's just an ex-blacksite worker who made up a tall tale.

Yes, of course. Would have destroyed them completely if NASA had poured in enough money to take creative control. But the money could have been left in the economy instead of wasted on Boeing/ULA/whatever. And NASA could be spending money on missions flown on far cheaper reusables. Paying $4.1 billion per launch isn't a path to space industrialization, it's a path back to the caves. I'm quite familiar with the Beal Aerospace story, and the OTRAG story, and the Zheng He story... in fact I wrote about Zheng He and NASA back in 2005, for the 36th anniversary of the Moon landing: fee.org/articles/thirt…

@BWalkerTTAGGG I'm rather relieved that Starship and New Glenn haven't received 'much' money from NASA. Doing so likely would have slowed them down.

@allcot_j <curmudgeon mode> It's still a $4.1 billion per launch pork barrel fraud made from 1980s Shuttle engines pulled out of a warehouse. The SLS program has cost about $100 billion so far... all that money could have gone to Starship and New Glenn.
