Just driven over 100 miles from West to East Wales. Went through four 20mph areas, three took less than a minute to get through, the rest of the journey, 50mph,60mph and national speed limits. Stop listening to the rubbish being spouted about 20mph blanket speed limits in Wales.

@Plaid_Cymru I'm learning Welsh because it's a beautiful language and Welsh culture needs to be conserved. Not to be used as a 'political tool' to gain independence

Nigel Farage has called Welsh people “Foreign speakers” in a Cameo video. I hate to break it to you Mr Farage, but if you read a history book you would realise English is more foreign in the UK than Welsh. He said: “Gutted I couldn’t attend the wedding. I wanted to come, but I heard that half the guests were Welsh, and I don’t know. Who knows what would have happened with all those foreign speakers there. I don’t know.” This is at a time that his party are trying to convince people in Wales that they should elect them to the Welsh Parliament. Big credit to the Guardian for breaking this story: theguardian.com/uk-news/ng-int…

Brexit has been a disaster to Wales' economic resilience. We must re-join the Single Market and Customs Union to support Wales economy. Plaid Cymru will forge closer ties with our European neighbours. Vote Plaid Cymru on May 7.

Isn't it ironic that many Brits voted for Brexit because they wanted immigration to go down? How did this happen?

There was no growth at all in the UK economy in January. And this is before the impact of Iran. Labour has killed our economy.

⚡️Wales is rich in electricity, yet we pay the highest bills! Wales is a net exporter of electricity, with north Wales home to some of the world’s largest offshore wind farms, yet households pay the highest electricity standing charges in the UK! Join 👉 yes.cymru/join

This (L) is not federalism. England still dominates any federal structure. This (R) is federalism. England needs its own government. However it decides to then further devolve its own powers is nothing to do with the rest of us. If we're a union of equals, let's be equal.

Responding to the leaked Keir Starmer Memo a No 10 Downing Street source said: "We make no apologies for being determined to deliver for people across all four nations of the UK. "In Wales, Scotland and NI, there are clearly reserved areas of governmental responsibilities and this Government is committed to upholding this devolution settlement with mutual respect and partnership."

NEW: A bleak assessment of the state of public services in Wales ⬇️ "Overall, performance in both the health and education systems is substantially poorer than before the COVID-19 pandemic - and poorer than in England" @TheIFS (Institute for Fiscal Studies) highlights some alarming figures in this report, including: • School absences remain 50% higher than in 2019 • Average in-patient hospital stay around 40% longer in Wales than England • A&E waiting times have, if anything, worsened over last 2 years • Share of 16 & 17 year olds in full-time education in Wales has fallen from 78% in 2014 to 64% in 2024 Re education performance, the report's authors note: "Policymakers in Wales should do more to understand the reasons behind these trends and to address them. The cost to Wales of not doing so could be high" You can read it here 📄 ifs.org.uk/sites/default/…
