@amicuscuriaem @ln4norris F1 is doing the same shit NASCAR did. They listen to what the fans say and take their word over the very people DRIVING THE FUCKING CARS… you say you don’t control the car but you do control what F1 hears and reads daily. If enough fans complain about something, it will change.

“what you would like to see changed before miami?” lando: “there's no point of saying it, honestly. it doesn't matter what we [drivers] say. as long as the fans enjoy it, that's all that matters” “the drivers need to enjoy it as well” lando: “🙂‍↔️ clearly not. ha”

@amicuscuriaem @ln4norris How is it blaming fans? To attribute something to something else does not mean you are automatically blaming it...

when you're so chronically online that you feel comfortable speaking about a driver and their family like this, what a great opportunity for you to delete your account. i assure you, none of us will miss you if you decided to take a few days off from being a fucking weirdo
a cowboy like you 🤠 ⁴⁴'⁶@soineffablygay

you'll get nothing but disrespect from me for leaving your partner and newborn days after birth NOT EVEN to win a championship but to drive in a shit box that can't even finish the race distance. great opportunity to retire, actually

@hunttline aaaand then later he made a jos is the boss joke that was clearly about max's childhood in racing, and when he got called out for it he didn't apologize, he did a STORY about his "childhood anger and anxiety” and his own abuse, and his father was like ... wait I did what??

@MissOoo1g i can't believe you woke up today and said, I INVITE MYSELF to inappropriately assume that max has not had any pr training nor has he been giving interviews for 80% of his life, i diagnose this as child abuse!!!!!!

I think theres times you can tell Max was raised by a man who openly abused & humiliated him in front of the whole paddock for any losses, because a question that is so easily handled by PR training shouldnt be viewed as "taunting" or a reason to play out a humilating grudge
Verstappen News@verstappenews

i think purposefully taunting the person youre interviewing and then getting upset they kept a grudge against you is not that crazy max wasnt upset at the question (he answered it many times in a respectful manner) but at the way he said it with a grin you reap what you sow 🤷‍♀️

- pretends he didn’t try to provoke Max - paints himself as a victim - sneaks in “classless” one of the most popular British ways of insult.. elitism 🙃 - supposedly said by a “colleague” sure … but the fact he actually wrote it? he WANTED it in. It’s coming straight from him. - then flexes “I’ve been called anti-Hamilton & anti-Vettel” to prove he’s neutral. 🤣 Should’ve posted it on Wattpad or AO3 😭 Lies. All of it.

@FormulaUR_ and i don't think journalists should be able to treat people like shit but how they have the authority to do this is beyond me. it's not like this is the first, second, or third time british media has been an✨issue✨but it doesn't look like you're even remotely prepared for that

I understand the journalist is a bit of a knob but drivers/sportspeople should never have authority to do this. In name, they don’t have the authority to do this so how this is allowed is beyond me. I’ve seen this in other sports too and I’m not sure why it’s ever allowed and/or who is giving this the green light. Ultimately, everyone has a job to do. You don’t see the average working man or woman turning people away from work just because they don’t get along. It’s happened to all of us, every single one of us at some point. The problem is, I believe athletes forget that what doesn’t seem like a day job for them, is for the common person. Things like this do irreversible reputational damage to careers and they don’t even know it.

😳 Verstappen refused to start his media session until The Guardian’s representative left. It is a result of a clash months ago in the Abu Dhabi finale where Verstappen took issue with a question about regretting his crash with George Russell and subsequent penalty at the Spanish GP, in the context of missing out on the world championship by just two points.

@F1JayyUK spoken like someone that doesn't understand how "private hospitality spaces" work and how it's not a roped off exclusive area that you're invited to and THATS HOW IT WORKS. JOURNALISTS GO IN TO GET INTERVIEWS. jfc you smooth brains are exhausting.

@effonecasualfan as a human being, not a fanbase, i don't want a journalist to ask another human being the shit that "Journo" did, people that are deliberately disrespectful (multiple times) shouldn't have a platform, they don't represent the masses wanting to read their articles, they're dicks

Fanbases are going to sit and chuckle, even mock the Journo because Max told him to "Get out" Firstly, it's ridiculously disrespectful for any driver to act this way, they are professionals, BOTH OF THEM! Unless Giles has a history of constantly trying to get a rise out of Max and targetting him, this is probably one of the worst ways for a driver to conduct himself. You're setting a precedent where unless you're being asked questions that flatter you, you're going to throw ppl out of press scrums. Which is a poor look!
Laura 🦋@formuLau16

Max Verstappen has made a journalists leave before answering further questions: Max: "I'm not speaking before he leaves," "Seriously?"- asked the journalist, to which Verstappen replied, "Yep." The exchange continued: Journalist: "Because of the question last year?" Verstappen: "Yeah."Journalist: "You want me to leave?" Verstappen: "Yeah." Journalist: "It's just the question I asked you in Abu Dhabi? Verstappen: "Yeah." Journalist: "About Spain?" Verstappen: "Get out

@M0lly_Writes you have spent so much time complaining on the internet and calling it journalism, you aren't qualified to talk about this. you should see it and say to yourself, oh maybe i can't publish trite bullshit and still expect to be respected, i'll change my ways! but of course not

To clear up some things I’ve seen on here regarding Max Verstappen and the Guardian journalist he banned from his session today: the Guardian + Giles Richards are both respected outlets/journalists. Not tabloid or clickbait media You can disagree with the question asked in AD…

@WhingerSpice fyi it wasn't an uncomfortable question it was disrespectful. some of you people (you specifically) are so chronically online you don't understand that you're supposed to treat everyone with basic human dignity. from your posts you don't do this, you don't get an opinion ❤️

Journalists need to be free to ask whatever they want. Uncomfortable questions are essential. The moment you let teams or drivers control journalists’ behaviour, is when independence and credibility vanishes. Viewers want honest questions and honest answers. Not propaganda.
