Unless someone blows us away (future first) I doubt he is moved before opening night. Landry plays virtually the same role and will require 8-10m vs 3m

But the salary being expiring for a team up against the second apron is not helpful is my point. I think you can make the argument that letting him go for nothing next year is bad asset management.
