Deuce is on a very cheap deal, but the Knicks have been firm about not going over the second apron, and bringing back at least one of Mitch or Shamet should be prioritized.
Deuce has the most trade value out of other candidates, which is why trading him would make sense.

Trading Deuce (who is on a top-10 contract in the NBA) for a backup big to the replace a departing Mitchell Robinson because we don’t want to touch the 2nd apron feels wrong to me.
