In 40 minutes, I'll be talking with some friends on the topic of Churchianity vs Christianity: What ‘America Reads the Bible’ Reveals. I'll be streaming to X, YouTube and Facebook. If you're on X, I'll be able to see your comments.

Have you been following the America Reads the Bible event? I did see a portion of the livestream before I did my stream on that event. On the one hand, I'm glad to see something like this happening. At the same time, I am wary of it, for a simple reason. It's one thing to hear a steady stream of people read God's Word (KJV Easy Read); however, it's quite another to understand and apply God's Word. Since the organizers are basing this event on Nehemiah where Ezra did a public reading of Scriptures, it would be helpful to notice that Ezra did not act alone. He had people who understood the Law of Moses and could help the people to understand it. I would encourage prayers for Christians who do know the Word and can properly teach it to come along side and help these young people in their understanding and how to properly apply it. It would also help to teach them how to distinguish between the Scriptures that apply to them and what doesn't.

While I'm not a reformed Baptist, I do have to ask this question. What about a response video to what you and @jimcosman2 did on that podcast and thought you were gracious and did quite well. I do think Jim should have avoided that rabbit trail called Dreams. I didn't mention that in the video, though. I was pleasantly surprised and commended you. By the way, I do think God can communicate through dreams; however, we're to compare to Scriptures. For the Word of God is our final authority.

Did @jimcosman2 and I violate Romans 16:17 by interviewing Gabe Poirot on my youTube channel? A few have said so (and said so in good faith, not to be overly critical). @wretched_jim has written a piece breaking it down thoroughly. Worth a read not only for the interview Jim and I did, but also to rightly frame the issue.

wretchedjim.smmall.cloud/l/noteveryplaf… Scripture tells us to take false teaching seriously. It also calls us to interpret Scripture carefully. In this article, I examine Romans 16 and 2 John in their original contexts and argue that applying them faithfully today requires clear thinking about what counts as endorsement and what counts as public examination.

The other day, X(Twitter) sent me a "Come Back to X) price for 2 months. My interest is piqued for a simple reason. I'm currently streaming with Restream.io. It's a popular streaming service that let's me broadcast to multiple platforms. I'm currently streaming to my YouTube channel & Facebook profile. In the past, I did try X but it didn't do so well and unfortunately Streamyard couldn't help in analyzing that stream's performance. Since then, I'm made some needed finetuning to my Christian YouTube content and I think it will work better with X. Starting Monday, I'll start streaming to the three platforms (YT, FB, and X). What are my current content that I think will work? I am glad you ask! ;-) Lately, I've been doing Christian YouTube commentary. The commentary can be in response to a video or an issue in the Church. Looking forward to seeing what happens, next

@JustinPetersMin @jimcosman2 @WretchedJimmy Justin. I want to congrats you on how well you and Jim handled the young man and I'm not Reform. I, also tend to be wary of you. That's why I was pleasantly surprised and I could see that you were trying to help Gabe. I'm at the 1st Hour mark.

The interview @jimcosman2 and I did with Gabe Poirot about his trip to Heaven was posted yesterday on my channel. Jimmy Hicks @WretchedJimmy watched it and wrote a detailed review on Substack. Neither Jim nor I knew he was going to write this, but it's a detailed review if you don't have time to watch the 140-minute-or-so interview. Much appreciation to Jimmy for taking so much of his time to watch and write.

Scripture doesn’t test claims by how sincere someone seems. It tests them by whether they’re true. My evaluation of @jimcosman2 and @JustinPetersMin conversation with @gabe_poirot open.substack.com/pub/wretchedji…

@The_OriginalOB @JewAndGreek Sadly, the two of you touched on a sad reality. If it is someone we don't like or trust then we ignore them. If it is from one we see as in "our camp" then we'll listen as if it's the 1st time we heard it.

Looking back on the Winger/Hinn debacle, imo, one of the biggest takeaways is the power of a personality. Virtually all his talking points had been said countless times for decades. Yet it suddenly meant more now that HE was saying them. A sad commentary on our maturity level

The Bible is either 100% true or Christianity collapses. There is no middle ground.

@w_bitterman There's plenty of middle ground. The issue of inerrancy wasn't really a big deal until the fundamentalists made it that way about a century ago. Luther dismissed inconsistencies in Scripture by saying "Such points do not bother me particularly."
