Again, thank you for your responses and your insights. For the record, I am very much against babies being butchered. I’m not convinced, however, that people’s aggressive posts on social platforms actually reduces that number of babies being killed. My prayer and the desire of my heart is to dramatically reduce that number. I agree that they’re not in need of a pillow to rest their conscience, they need a savior just Iike I did in my broken state. So I genuinely pray for them and will continue to. Carol, you’re shared alot of wisdom with me and I’ve been receptive to it. I’d like to offer a bit back. You don’t know me, like at all. You have very little context for who I am and you make a lot of assumptions to fill in those gaps. The overall tone of your communication reads as arrogant and I wonder if much of your wisdom is wasted in the way that it’s delivered. I don’t know, I think we can conclude this as I worry we won’t bear much fruit but I’ll say this - none of my appreciation towards you has been in sarcasm. My sister in Christ, I value and appreciate who you are. I pray blessings and favor on you today and that through all things - God would bring us both closer to him and his goodness so we can be used for his good and Glory.

‘so my every day goal is that God would master that tension in me.’ He’s doing that now through me. This is not a case where you give a guy a pillow to rest his conscience. He’s not ‘broken’. He is godless & needs the full force of the law. You Antinomians are wreaking havoc throughout Christendom all because you’re more interested in flaunting the “posture of your heart”. Look at what a merciful person I am. Even more so than Christ Himself. Meanwhile, babies are being butchered.

A lot of stones thrown in the comment section here. Righteous and justified stones, but stones nonetheless. Lift your eyes today, church. The harvest is white. See broken people as Jesus saw them when he walked the earth and how he sees them today. Broken and in desperate need of a righteous reprimand. Nope. In need of a savior? Yes. Thank God we know one, may he be seen through you and seen through me.

This week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21. The choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans with no matter what we decided. I know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley. She underwent the procedure earlier this week and is on the mend. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, but emotionally we are drained. Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome, is caused by an extra chromosome. It is caused by an error in cell division, like a glitch. The odds of a baby having it is 1 in 1000. When I first confronted this news, I was shocked but optimistic. If they’re a little slow intellectually, then we’ll make it work. I signed on to be a parent, come what may…but I just didn’t fully understand what Down Syndrome entailed. Once we made it public, it became clear that MOST people don’t know what Down Syndrome entails (and no, it’s not the same as Autism): 50% of babies with DS have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. Impaired immune function, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, delayed physical development, poor muscle tone, structural issues with face, decreased lifespan, etc…Sadly, the list is long, feel free to look it up…Down Syndome isn’t a “blessing”, it is objectively shitty from a health perspective. I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family…more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life. The miscarriage risk is also close to 50%, which made matters worse…they may never see the light of day and it puts Ashley further at risk. We spoke with doctors, friends, family and genetic counselors and learned that up to 90% of women terminate their pregnancy after learning the baby has Trisomy 21. This was WAY higher than I expected, I thought it would be lower given that I hear so many say they kept or would keep the baby. I believe that’s because most terminations happen privately, it feels shameful. A lot of judgment being cast. You never think you’d be in this type of situation until it happens to you and then things change. To all of my fans who have weighed in on this topic who have Autism, Down Syndrome or any other conditions…we appreciate you. You matter a lot and we’re glad you’re here. I commend you and your families for having the strength and courage to push forward. As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice. It will take a little time to move on, but we are excited to try again in the future and hopefully have a better outcome. Love you guys & thank you for understanding. ❤️

My fellow Christians, when people are hateful to you on this app, don’t respond in anger. Don’t answer hate with hate. Pray for them. They need Jesus just like we all do. And then block or mute them. But most importantly, pray for their souls.

lol Carol, the whole posture of my heart is to lead those who are lost to the same Jesus that saved my life. Respectfully - I don’t need to toughen up, I just need to be more like him. It’s in my experience that delivering the gospel and bringing people close to the Father requires a combination of truth and grace. And so my every day goal is that God would master that tension in me. Many times I will fail, many times I will repent. Prayerfully, I’ll remain humble and open to seeing the lost as the he does. I genuinely hope you have an amazing day and I sincerely appreciate your responses to me.

@bcardea_ “Broken”. A word Often used to convince wicked hearts to remain truly unrepentant. Rebuking someone for violently murdering the life God has knitted together in her womb is not throwing stones.

The temple was created by God for Israel’s good. Time and time again, they made it an idol. I’ve been married to an incredible woman for a long time, we have been blessed with 4 children, a 5th on the way. If ever, at any moment, I look to my wife or my children for fulfillment that I should receive only from God - I’ve made them an idol and I must repent as Israel was told to repent over and over.

I will be praying for you and your wife this morning and this week. Praying that through this experience, God would be known, felt, experienced and loved in your hearts and in your home. Praying that he teaches you to be a good husband and leader as you navigate a very complicated situation you’ve found yourself in. Most of all, praying that you feel his love today and that it changes you at your core (I pray this daily for myself too, this is not a dig - it’s a blessing and it seems you need a blessing right now).

My brother in Christ, I have to push back here. This take seems disingenuous to the heart of what she was saying. She’s saying making marriage the ultimate thing, to the point that you become passive, unfruitful, or put your whole life on hold can turn a good desire into an idol. And the scriptures back her up. We see Israel making idols out of things that God designed for good. 1 Corinthians (7 I want to say? It’s the verse where he’s focused on sexual immorality) Paul straight up tells single people, “hey if you can do it - be like me and stay single and celibate and preach the gospel” Paul saw that as a gift. I don’t think this woman, or any Christian with biblical understanding would undermine the gift of marriage that God has provided us, but God told his people before and he still tells us now - anything you put your trust, attention, affection or obedience in above or in front of me - that is an idol. A false god.

"Marriage is actually an idol" is the teaching of demons. Notice that these people never say that polite acceptance of sodomy or financial support for invading foreigners is an idol. They only scream "idolatry" when someone wants to obey God. Woe that call evil good, and good evil; who make darkness light, and light darkness; who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter.

My problem, if you want to call it that, was always with the words that were said in the initial post regarding celebrating her cancer and the way in which it was delivered. Nowhere in the exchange did I affirm her stance on anything, but I did say that she, like him, was made in the image of God and that he shouldn’t talk to her like he was - even if he disagrees with her stance. I think you’re made a lot of assumptions about my stance, which I understand and is within your rights. All I asked was that if you wanted to have conversation, especially as it pertains to my wife - do it with respect. That’s a fair and reasonable request.

Sorry bro, I was hanging with my family in the backyard. And no, I do not agree with a law that would enable any government to arrest and imprison my wife and I for engaging in any sort of intimacy with each other. But also, that’s my wife so I’d appreciate if we don’t speak crudely in regard to her and the intimacy that we share. I’ll answer your questions to the best of my ability but I’d ask you to be respectful and I’ll be respectful towards you.

Praying God’s blessing and favor on you. Praying he surrounds you with real Christ followers who show you nothing but love and kindness. Anyone who utters the slur "homophobic" to label people who disapprove of same-sex behavior is low IQ. They don't even know the meaning of words, roots, suffixes. They make up definitions like they make up genders. I've never met another Christian who is afraid of homosexuals.
