@LargeFamDad @GigaBasedDad That's literally not true. I just think that one study doesn't prove anything and since the study is over a decade old, more studies should be done. What is so hard to grasp about that?

Your worldview isn't neutral. You're not operating from neutral, unbiased ground either. You're just as dogmatic about your views as well. But your dogmatism has no legs to stand on. Dogmatism in and of itself isn't bad, especially when it's grounded in truth. You however, have no basis for truth in your worldview. Your thoughts are just random chance by products of millions of years of molecules bumping into each other. You want to make claims of truth, but in order to do so, you must borrow from the Christian worldview. You have no objective standard by which to judge anything, much less what is "reasonable conversation". Everything you come up with is at best arbitrary and could be complete nonsense. There is no meaning to anything in your worldview. Nothing has inherent value except that which you place on it, arbitrarily and subjectively. For you, there is ultimately no point in having any conversations whatsoever. It's a waste of your time. The moment you claim that anything has meaning or purpose, you step into the Christian worldview. All you have is a bunch of random particles of matter slamming into one another with blind pitiless indifference.

@LargeFamDad @darwintojesus Is your characterization of atheism informed by your interpretation of a Bible text? Are you saying that your answers are “the thing of the Spirit of God?” Then you are too far off the deep end of self blind grandiosity and mindless dogmatism for reasonable conversation.

You're forgetting there is a law above the golden rule. Mark 12:28-30 And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the most important of all?" Jesus answered, "The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' God's views on homosexuality are CRYSTAL clear. Leviticus 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an ABOMINATION. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice HOMOSEXUALITY, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Timothy 1:9-10 understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice HOMOSEXUALITY, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, Revelation 21:27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is DETESTABLE or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Ad hominem is not exegesis, and nothing is wrong per se with differing from the norm. Given the topic, your use of “aberrant” in the moral sense suggests your moral code is at odds with Matthew 7:12–28, which distills the law and the prophets down to the Golden Rule and makes clear that all moral choices should be made through that gate — the sexual sphere being no exception. As verse 14 acknowledges, that won’t always be easy, as appears to be the case for you on this topic. If you disagree, engage the text. You probably should give it some thought first, though.

@LargeFamDad @GigaBasedDad Stir up trouble? No, I'm explaining that one study that has never been duplicated is questionable. Sorry that you're so sensitive and that you don't like being challenged. Seems to me you're the one with the bias.

@davidtaylor0390 Truth is that which corresponds to reality as it actually is. Feelings may be subjectively true for a particular person (THEY feel a certain way), but they may not correspond to reality. When they don't, it is not loving to affirm their delusion.

Feelings do not determine truth or reality. That is the largest problem in today's culture. People want their feelings validated. Well feelings are just feelings. Reality is what needs to be validated, not feelings.

The original study has over 460 participants which is more than enough for statistical significance across a population. It was peer reviewed and published in a medical journal. If you're truly interested in it, why don't you use AI to research your questions. It seems like you're just trying to stir up trouble.

@LargeFamDad @GigaBasedDad That's literally how studies work. Another study is conducted to see if the results can be duplicated. That's how you test for validity. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦

@LargeFamDad @GigaBasedDad 2015? Have there been any more recent studies where the results were able to be replicated?

@SomeAnonStaffer Absolutely nothing. Just thought it was a great idea since I have not seen one in our area. Where we live is home. We aren't moving just to be near one. Homeschooling has served us well.

@SomeAnonStaffer Don't be stupid. We've been homeschooling for a decade. I'm involved in many local homeschool groups and online communities. We personally know 50+ homeschool families. If there was something like this in my area, I would have found out about it by now.

Christianity is failing because it has lost the ability to identify bad actors and exclude them. Thus the craziest people have taken over the churches.

@superintoit @GigaBasedDad When you have that many children, inevitably your wife will be close to if not over the age of 40. Our experience was the same. My wife was 39 with our 6th and 41 with our 7th.

@ConservativeEve @GigaBasedDad My wife had our 7th child at age 41. After some minor complications with an epidural on our second child, she delivered the last five naturally. Last two were home births. Her OBGYN tried to talk us into stopping after two children. So glad we didn't listen!

46 - natural pregnancy -The Doctor, when I went to the hospital for tests because of my age, came down to meet me because he couldnt believe I didn't use any drugs or IVF - that I was completely natural and thriving and so was my pregnancy at my age - when I shared that with a coworker she scoffed and said I was nothing special and that many women get pregnant at my age - I said yes, but, that doctor never met any and he seemed to think and treat me like I was a Unicorn. He was gobsmacked and expressed it, said he just had to meet me when he saw the file and tests. Glory to God
