Sir, respectfully, I am doing my job. Many parts of my job you don’t see. Some of the work is best kept private. I also know that some outcomes may not meet your standards, but I am working very hard for this university, our staff and our students. Thank you. 🚩

@JimCampbellTFR Jim - was it you who interviewed the England team’s psychologist on the Ramble? It’s a terrific interview but I’ve been unable to locate it in the archives. Could you help? Thanks!

An entire generation of women grew up knowing in their souls that they were better at soccer than their brothers. Not because they were particularly ambitious. Or even particularly confident. Simply because Mia Hamm made it cool to think so. The Mia Hamm Effect. 🐐 Gods of Soccer: @MiaHamm 🇺🇸

This is my story, a moment that feels like it was just yesterday. Almost seven years have passed, yet its impact still resonates within me today. Picture this: two individuals, Tony Meola and Vanni Sartini, whom I hold in the highest regard, approached me with genuine compliments and shared their thoughts. "I was just talking to Vanni, and we believe you can be a great coach," Tony @TMeola1 offered up, his words carrying a profound weight. To them, it might have been a passing comment, but for me, it sparked a cascade of thoughts and introspection. During that period of my professional journey, I dedicated myself to learning and growth—long days, big dreams, and endless ideas. However, I occasionally felt like the 'crazy one' among some of my peers. This notion would sometimes make me question myself and undermine my confidence. Yet, that pivotal moment of affirmation planted a seed within me—a seed that bloomed into a profound realization. Reflecting upon it now, I am struck by a deep understanding of how such moments can genuinely impact someone's life. Today, inspiring and empowering others to become their best version and pursue their aspirations is something that brings me joy. It is invaluable to help people break through their perceived limitations and turn their dreams into reality. As I embrace "my why" wholeheartedly, I find myself on a journey that connects me with countless individuals. It is a path paved with relentless dedication, unwavering support, and an unwavering belief in the human spirit. Every step I take is meant to ignite that spark of possibility within others, guiding them toward their goals and making their dreams come true. This story, my story, shows just how powerful encouragement can be and the impact it can have on someone's life. It's a reminder that a few well-chosen words, spoken with genuine belief, can change destinies and set transformation in motion. So, let my journey serve as an inspiration—a reminder that each of us has the power to make waves of positive change, both within ourselves and in the lives of those around us. Together, let us strive to build a world where dreams prosper, potential is realized, and the best versions of ourselves emerge triumphant. I suppose I'm a unique individual, perhaps still the "crazy one," who primarily expresses myself through football. That's my story, and I appreciate the opportunity to share it with you. Marcelo. #football #mystory #learning  #beyourself #dreambig #workhard
