You owe your kids a good life and should never act like everything you did in raising them was a favor they need to repay. It’s your duty as a parent to give them everything you possibly can and the “reward” should be seeing your kids successful and happy.

@kaylanknit I had that happen to me on a multifamily deal with seller financing. I’m still not sure that’s standard, though.

Got a check in my bank account today from a deal that I closed on over a year and a half ago 🙏 what happened was a portion of the deal was being seller financed and the day of closing the property manager said bc they weren’t getting all the money upfront we don’t get the whole commission until it’s paid off resulting in $29k being held from us Please tell me I’m not wrong in thinking this isn’t industry standard?

Candy Corn is good. Sweet Potato pie is better than Pumpkin. Pecan Pie above all. Eggnog is gross, but anything can be good with enough booze.

Selling Puts in a bullish market is a good strategy But if that’s your ONLY strategy then you are not going to maximize your returns Buying medium and long dated (LEAPS) calls work great as well Buying shares and selling Covered Calls work great as well Various strategies 💰

Hotels > @Airbnb, a horror story 🫠 It’s 2:30am in London. Flight delayed 3 hours. Raining. I message our host that we’re going to miss the check in window. There’s a fee. Weird since it’s self check in, but ok We get to the airbnb and the lockbox doesn’t work. Rain, rain..

@jt_ryder I’ve purchased a few deals like this. The seller said I could wear my principal hat or nothing.

Seller from a couple months ago: “I don’t pay fees. No brokers.” Same seller weeks ago: Sells to another broker at ~80% of value. I guess I should have asked if he would sell it to me? Admittedly, I’m terrible at approaching deals from a personal ownership angle.

Yesterday I lost my champion. He was my greatest strength and greatest supporter - my father. He battled cancer for over five years and beat the odds. His heart gave out yesterday morning. He loved me, my wife, my children, and my friends. He made me into a man that could handle anything life throws my way, including life without him. I will miss him terribly, but am comforted by his life well-lived and that he will not suffer. Love you, Dad. Until we meet again. Larry Marshall (November 6, 1948 - March 25, 2024).

Landlords of Twitter, I have a question. Processing my first eviction and have a hearing date. Tenant has since vacated under property and notified me in writing. Am I obligated to withdraw the eviction. What about past due rent and damages? Separate filing?
