Funsho Williams did not abandon his ambition to become governor after Pa Adesanya appealed to him to step down for Tinubu in December 1998. With Obasanjo as president, Funsho decamped to the PDP. At that point, he became a greater political danger to the Lagos establishment. Meanwhile, Tinubu had already clashed with his deputy, Mrs. Kofo Akerele-Bucknor, a strong force in the AD, and had pushed the House to impeach her. This political misstep angered indigenous Lagosians, who saw Princess Bucknor as a representative of their enlightened interests. The grand scheme was to ensure that no Tinubu protégé would come near Lagos House again, and Funsho Williams was prepared to take up the mantle in 2007. The forces had gathered to sweep Tinubu’s looming influence from Lagos politics, but suddenly, Funsho Williams was murd@d in his Ikoyi residence.

I don’t know how to explain it further or maybe I don’t want to, but people who are successful at their careers are not the regular 9-5ers. They don’t keep the mindset of people who watch the time while they work! That’s who this lady is! She’s an engineer, she has worked beyond her working hours. And from what Femi has said, she has also gone an extra mile to deliver meals! Again, a dev! While others might have foams in their mouths if you ever ask them to do such, she is doing it as a pathway to understand user behaviour that in turn helps her to build a super app! This is not advice! There’s no moral to this story. I am not asking you to do anything. But people who want to join us at the top 20% of our careers will definitely take this as a wake up call! NOBODY IS SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR CAREERS BY LOOKING AT THEIR 9-5 CLOCK! Selah; this is my sermon today!

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

i know you don’t know why, so i will explain the theatrics behind this for you while growing up, i had a friend who refused to use a case, he said it ruined the design so one day his phone slipped out of his hand in slow mo, we both watched it hit the ground like a scene from an indian movie 😭 his screen cracked instantly but he picked it up, looked at it for a second… and just laughed. he didn’t fix it for months, that’s when i realized it wasn’t about the phone. .. some people don’t move through life trying to avoid damage, they move like they’ve already accepted it. so rocking a caseless phone means your comfortable with risk or you’ve just accepted that damage is part of the experience, some people want protection but others want to feel everything even if it comes with consequences...

never buy a 16GB RAM laptop in 2026. you’ll regret it within a week
