@Stephdurann @gabydvj I think she is using the white people one. I’m not sure what that really means.

Happy heavenly birthday to Fred “The Fox” Snowden, the first African-American head basketball coach at a major college program when Arizona hired him in 1972. He paved the way for Lute Olson, Sean Miller and Tommy Lloyd by turning Arizona into more of a national program, especially from a recruiting perspective. @snowdenhoops

On this day, 58 years ago, my father, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was taken from us by assassination while still fully committed to confronting poverty, racism, and militarism. Even now, the truth of who he was and what he stood for is too often softened or reshaped into something easier to accept.
But my father was not a convenient symbol. He was a man of deep conviction, disciplined courage, and unwavering love. He gave his life calling this nation to confront injustice and choose a better way.
Today, I reflect not only on the pain of his assassination, but also on the power of his witness. His life, his sacrifice, and his commitment to nonviolence still call us to reject hate, resist injustice, and create the Beloved Community.
On this day, I hold both the weight of that loss and the responsibility of that legacy.

On April 3, 1968, the night before he was assassinated, my father delivered what would be his final speech, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.”
He spoke with a clarity that came from conviction, not certainty. He acknowledged the difficulty of the days ahead, yet he was not moved by fear. He was anchored in purpose and in a faith that justice would prevail.
What stands out to me is not only what he said, but how he said it. He was preparing people to stay committed, to stay disciplined, and to continue the work, even without him.
His words are not just history. They are instruction.

@randomrecruiter Curious how these rising gas prices will affect this hard core stance.

I just heard of multiple companies letting go of employees for coffee badging.
They have a requirement for 3 days onsite per week, or 24 hours.
Some of these people have been going in and immediately going back home, leaving after lunch, or a little early at 3 or 4.
In two cases I heard of the manager approving this, and even doing it themselves.
But I guess from a higher level, they dont care, adn they were all let go.
If your company has hard RTO mandates, especially if you’re in a more “traditional” industry like banking and financial services, I’d think twice about coffee badging in this environment.

@AaronQuinn716 At some point the league will shoot itself in the foot by handing away one of its biggest advantages, which is scarcity

There is an unfair layer of data in this stuff where the NFL thinks they can just expand and grow and add more, and it will work because we are addicted to this thing and consume all of it as much as we can.
But I don't think MOST fans want more of it. And we don't want it all over the world. And we don't want it on Thursday nights.
My 2 cents.

Robert Kraft mentioned the possibility of the NFL going to an 18-game schedule with every team playing internationally and two byes per team. “I think it would be a lot more exciting for the fans,” Kraft said.
