Day 3 with OpenClaw:
In all my tests, GPT 5.4 is consistently the worst model for agentic tasks.
Lazy, stupid, never follows anything, feels like you are a baby sitter.
I don't know how OpenAI manages to make such a shitty model but this feels terrible.
I miss Opus.

I just canceled all my cloud LLM subscriptions.
Now running all major tasks on a small local cluster powered by 2× Mac Studios working in tandem.
This definitely was not on my Q1 2026 bingo card.

I avoided setting up OpenClaw for way too long because I thought it would take weeks to figure out.
The Reality: it took 1 hour and 43 minutes of focused work
I kept telling myself I’d “get to it” because it felt daunting and I was a complete beginner
Truthfully I was probably protecting my ego and didn’t want to feel incompetent or dumb while learning the unknown
But that’s how learning works. You will mess up and you will feel like an idiot when you’re trying to learn or try something new
And then you start and realize the task/goal you built up in your head was never as bad as you made it out to be in your head
Don’t get in your own head like me. Just start.

It took me 1hr 43mins to set up my Mac Mini + OpenClaw as a complete noob Alex (my AI agent) is live and running, but I still have no idea what i’m doing really lol Time to find out if this thing is actually as powerful as everyone says 🫡

I have built the world's most powerful home AI lab
My OpenClaw is now powered by:
• 3x Mac Studio w/ 512gb memory
• Nvidia DGX Spark w/ 128gb memory
• Mac Mini M4 w/ 16gb memory
I just added the DGX Spark to my Mac Studio cluster using EXO to handle prefill, dramatically speeding up AI speeds
This will be running my OpenClaw swarm, which is currently 5 OpenClaws and 4 subagents. I plan on increasing this to at least 10 OpenClaws over the next 2 weeks
This agent swarm will have 1 mission: be a 24/7 autonomous organization that produces value constantly.
I will add more compute as necessary, including more Mac Studios when the M5 Ultra releases
I do not plan on slowing down. This is the single most important moment in the history of this species, and I plan on capitalizing on it.
My mission is to create a framework that enables everyone to experience abundance.
