Institutions have attempted to curate products to address this market, but opaque and irresponsible risk management practices, nested counterparty risks, hidden leverage, dishonesty, and greed, have evaporated billions in value from DeFi — catastrophic vault failures have destroyed capital, and their ripples have caused TVL to recede from the sector.
There is a tremendous need and vacuum for trusted, safe, and transparent high-performance products.
Jetstream: The Liquidity Autopilot Protocol
Jetstream is building a suite of DeFi products for stablecoins, LSTs, and blue chips.
Jetstream’s flagship product, Jetstream USD will have:
▶️ 100% transparent and verifiably onchain strategies
All TVL stays 100% onchain, always. Strategies directly generate yield on DeFi protocols; no third parties involved. Strategies must have ample liquidity to exit at any time. Time-locked or duration based strategies must be 100% onchain and capped at a small portion of TVL as per a pre-defined risk management framework
▶️ Smart contract-enforced frameworks that prevent arbitrary actions
Each strategy component is a separate and fully-audited ‘walled-garden’ smart contract module with immutable whitelisted protocol interactions. New interactions/actions cannot be added in production, TVL is fully confined to the module only, and arbitrary actions are blocked.
▶️ 24/7 live onchain proof-of-reserves and emergency controls
Full public disclosure and continuous monitoring of reserves and risk metrics. Constant monitoring for suspicious activity in underlying protocols, with emergency controls and a ‘panic button’ to swiftly exit all strategies.
