@mrjohndye @LastWeekinAWS @JackEllis I think the idea is that if an SRE builds systems the right way from the beginning, there’s very little that an SRE needs to do for simpler workloads deployed on managed services that are HA out of the box… I kind of agree. Especially for early startups.

@LastWeekinAWS @JackEllis Maybe I'm biased, because I am part of a devops team, but I find this to be an odd take. He'd rather pay some AWS contractors like $200/hr to set things up and then have a team with no idea how to fix things when something goes belly up?
