Generated $5M+ for e-commerce brands in the past 12 months. 90% came from fixing basic, dumb-simple stuff... While everyone's obsessing over creating a million Klaviyo segments and pushing flash sales like it's crack, My biggest needle movers were literally just: 1. Nailing core email flows 2. Sending educational content instead of pushing discounts every week 3. Not over-segmenting. It kills reach and rarely pays off like you'd hope And that's it...the boring basics PRINT. Please do yourself a favor: nail the basics. Actually master them. Alright, that's the Tweet. Happy Q4.

THIS is my favorite social proof card from my website. (I'll miss it when I update the website) I think it's important to have in mind that brand owners are thinking about the ROI of hiring YOU. Not just how much extra revenue comes in, repeat-purchase rate, blablablah. That's of course the core of any reporting, but it's also fun to point out that: "Hey, these two months, we generated enough money from email that it covers 11.5 years of your retainer payments with us, lol". I don't care if it reaches reporting cards at all. I just want people to hear it. Because it stays in the air, and without having any data backing it at all; I think it increases retention with my clients. A little 'hah, nice!' from the client is ALL I need. Then back to work.

Heading out to meet some friends this evening, after hearing this client's feedback: I'll certainly have extremely low levels of cortisol for the rest of today.

@Camicees Are you careful with using statistics in your ads, for compliance reasons? Or is it just less strict with compliance for ads compared to in emails? I’m no ads guy, so I don’t know how it works with what’s legal to claim and how quickly you get shut down by Meta.

Here's how to make your ad copy actually convert. NO: "Get better sleep with our grounding mat" YES: "No more 2pm crashes with our grounding mat" Second-order benefits sell. First-order benefits bore.

@pngtyler Lol, the first thing striking me when Hormozi introduces himself in every video is «yeah dude, we know by now» haha. I guess the guy is just humble to his core. Fantastic feller.

Alex Hormozi still introduces himself in every YouTube video Weirdly enough the #1 thing I point out in channel audits for other business owners is they're not introducing themselves Not everyone knows who you are, what you accomplished, what you do You need to make it known

@CoachThisath @andrewfoxwell Peptides are CRUSHING it in ecom now. Just wait until topical peptides become the standard, it’s going to be so hot. Because no one wants to stick a needle in their thigh lol, so they’re not buying as much as they will when topical is the new thing

@AhmedElsaleet I contemplated getting a DJI, but landed on just using my iPhone instead. Continuity cam and super high quality, and $0 spent, so I couldn’t get myself to spend money on a camera

@Acewoohooo Can someone explain how expensive it will be without talking ‘tokens’. For example how many hours worth of asking it LONG questions can I do before my 20x Max plan is out?

@emaildeepdive Great advice, I deleted IG on my phone now. Keeping it on my Mac since I don’t even know how to scroll there, and it’s not as dopamine-giving. Giving this a few weeks to see how it turns out✊The logic checks out at least

One of the biggest productivity hacks I've done has been deleting Instagram. I used to think that I could control my urges and just have it on my phone and check it whenever I needed... I couldn't Instead, I just decided to get rid of the mental fatigue of having to be disciplined and just removed the option altogether. Sometimes, instead of trying to fight certain things, it's best just to walk away and remove the option entirely.

I avoid LinkedIn at all costs. Too many people shitting on others, and arguing in comment sections while their biz currently makes less than 2k/m. Brother, you've got bigger things to worry about rn.

Humans have evolved for millions of years to have that little scratch in the back of your head where you just know something but you can't explain why. Your intuition is just your unconscious brain doing the thinking for you. Your brain is constantly taking in information that you're not even aware of. Like 95% of your life experiences never reaches your conscious mind… but every pattern, experience, and interaction gets stored in your unconscious and turns all of it into gut feelings. Try to always listen to that. Personally I’ve learned I'd rather live and die by my own sword than go against my gut and regret it. So how do you build better intuition? Experience and reps. That's literally it. Gary Vee's intuition about business is insane because of how much experience he has. But as a 23 year old, mine is not going to be nearly as good in certain domains. It's there for ecommerce retention for sure… I can look at a brand and their numbers and just off gut feeling know if we should be doing more or things are going well. It's my job to be in the trenches every day doing the reps so my unconscious brain can keep picking up patterns. There are times in business where I'll make a call and my team will ask why. And sometimes I can't explain it and they hate me fore it lol. It’s just thousands of hours of experience compressing into a gut reaction. You were evolved to have that… don’t ignore it!!!

We added three buttons to a supplement brand's billing reminder email. 31.4% of customers who were about to cancel picked one of them instead. Here's what their billing reminder looked like at first: - Default Recharge email - Cancel option - No pause/skip/delay options So when the customer ends up having too much product, they have only one option: cancel. Giving your customers flexibility is one of the easiest moves to improve LTV. Customers who want to cancel will still cancel, but many cancellations aren't from customers who want to cancel. They just want to delay their shipment by a week. Or delay for a month because money is tight. Add these three options to your billing reminder: - Delay 1 week - Delay 2 weeks - Skip next shipment Now 31.4% of customers who would've cancelled choose one of those instead. Still subscribed, just being billed a bit later.

I’m really looking at it like a massive opportunity for creative minds when this is the standard for copy. Even with better AI models, as long as everyone has access to them, everyone ends up quickly sounding all the same. Also I think people should go back to only brainstorming written content, and write it out themselves fr. Takes no time after the thoughts are there, and it always turns out 100x better quality.
