Before selecting Nvidia DGX Spark as part of the Dappnode's AI collection, we researched and tested several hardwares in depth for months running different models. Saying that DGX spark is "useless" in reasoning or coding it is an overstatement. We run on it models like GPT-OSS 120b and Qwen3.5 35b and they worked smoothly.

Ok, I am going to buy a machine for local AI, just need to decide what - Framework Desktop, DGX Spark, Mac Studio or GMKtec EVO-X2 AI?
The budget is $6000
I understand the quality of inference will be nowhere near Claude Sonnet/Opus, but something about local AI makes me very excited:)
Which one to buy? How does one decide?

@FlyGuyInTheSky @hudsonjameson We created a Setup wizard to select which "brain" you use in your Openclaw. You can go for Ollama + an open source model or connect the API of OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic... up to you! 😉
