Many developers have spent a significant amount of money on travel, hotel, & visas to go to a cancelled GDC. @gamedevworld is announcing fundraising efforts March 28th-April 3rd for the GDC Relief Fund to help alleviate marginalized developers' burdens. gamedev.world/relief

@JesseDamiani @nwilliams030 Game Engine Architecture is a go to. I also recommend looking at the docs for Unreal, Unity, and Godot to discern structure/feature. Also building a game and asking yourself which systems could be reused. If so, you're in the territory of what an engine would support.

Learning about game engine infrastructure from the ground up. What should I watch, read, and think about? Who puts out the best thought in this space?

SNHU On Campus was so happy to partner with @dmcomics on this year's @Granitecon. Our @EsportsSnhu players enjoyed demonstrating their skills against local gamers and our game design students did a wonderful job in showcasing their new games to attendees. Til next year!

@kylepulver Remember that time we realized Snapshot wasn't a metroidvania six months before launch, scrapped all the levels, and somehow you managed to build 100+ new ones? o_O

it kinda sucks that games take so long to make that you get really good at making the game by the end of the project so then all of your previous work just seems like complete ass so you have to constantly resist going back and redoing everything with your newfound knowledge ffff
