They may not give you clarity or meet you with the same emotional depth, but the idea of you loving someone else makes them uncomfortable. They want your loyalty, even if they are not willing to offer you the same. They want your time, your comfort, your heart, but they do not want to do the work that real love requires. That is not love. That is control. That is possession. It is someone trying to hold onto something they know is valuable without truly honoring it. It is someone fearing that another person will receive the version of you they once took for granted.
