Think about all the orgs using Claude right now that have no idea how bad it has become over the past 4 weeks ago.
No statement from Claude - but a total revert to where the model was a year ago - which in comparison to when 4.6 got released is effectively last years AI model.
The amount of bugs, security issues, and complete destruction of production applications is going to be felt for quite a long time due to this.
Claude: nothing to see here.

GPT-5.4 Xtra high just gave a really, really good answer to an open theoretical question that seemed above what it would normally do. And it produced tokens way slower, maybe 10 tokens/s.
Is OpenAI rolling something out, or reallocating compute?

their last version is 1.2581.0 which is published 8 hours ago.
their announcement for new app is now over 1 hour ago and many employees saying the release is live. it's not.
i thought about it, but the binary download link cannot be bruteforced because of hash in filename 😬

In a recent interview Dario was dismayed why he is considered an 'AI doomer' when he considers his AI outlook to be so positive. Then they build a jaw-dropping model, without a single mention of any new attempts at discoveries, scientific applications or health breakthroughs. Just stories about cyber apocalypse and a researcher eating a sandwich.

The Axios story floating around about OpenAI limiting the release of their newest model Spud isn’t true.
Just spoke to OpenAI, and it appears the story conflated two things.
They do have a cyber product they are testing with a trusted tester group. But this is not the same thing as Spud.
The Axios story has now been updated.
