Every time I try a styling solution other than Emotion, I regret it. My list: - Raw CSS - CSS modules - Styled Components - JSS - styled-jsx I don't see the need to try any others. The 2 minutes it takes to setup Emotion in any new project is worth it.

@kai_cataldo In production mode emotion inserts styles directly into memory via CSSOM so there aren’t any styles directly in the DOM.

@kripod97 This is why emotion uses a single style tag in the head for SSR. I’d also be curious to know where the divergence in perf starts to show in your ex. 10k elements, 20k? I’m not surprised a list of 70k element with 70k style tags is slow

Today I've been experimenting with CSS injection techniques. Interestingly, body-embedded `<style>` tags (as used by @emotioncss) perform much worse than a singleton `<style>` in the `<head>`. I tested this on a tree of 70000 elements. It'd be nice to see detailed benchmarks 📈
