We need to save the environment from the people who want to “save the environment.” Animals can’t move through 500 acre industrial complexes sited in the middle of rural/agricultural land. For any other business, an industrial complex would have to reside in a zoned industrial region of the county. That’s why zoning exists. When you get to depart from zoning everyone else has to follow, surrounding property values plummet. Along the way, our wildlife is displaced, killed (lake effect, turbine collisions, inability to go around the perimeter fencing), and disoriented. This is a sick experiment. And Upstate NY communities are being treated as the lab rats.

In 2023, I picked up a copy of the Farmer’s Almanac and began to read. A statistic jumped out at me a few pages in: “Over the next 20 years, $24 trillion dollars worth of farmland and farming assets will change hands as farmers retire.” I kept reading. Over 50% of American farmers are over the age of 55. That’s not a good turnover for the industry that feeds us. Little did I know, I was reading about a statistic that would come to manifest as the biggest wealth transfer of our lifetimes… not from farmers to younger Americans, but from agricultural landowners to foreign countries. And it would happen under the guise of “green energy.” The more towns I travel to as I document the hideousness of solar complexes… the more I learn. It’s not the actively farming folks doing this to their land. They plan to keep farming and pass it on to their kids. It’s a hidden group of landowners that lease their land to farmers and cosplay as “rural Upstaters” while they sneak off to Florida from October to May. They give no notice to the farmers that were using their land while they fall over themselves to take advantage of green energy subsidies and credits. The active farmer gets demonized when in reality, it’s a group of farmland “landlords” that have hidden in the shadows for decades as they look for the next “get rich quick scheme.” And they found it in @KathyHochul, foreign corporations, and a @NYSDEC that has sworn to stay “out of the way” with solar and wind complex environmental degradation. A Group Of British-Pakistani Grooming Gangs Systematically Exploited At Least 15 Vulnerable Female Victims Across Huddersfield And Kirklees Between 1995 And 2013, Using The "Boyfriend" Grooming Model, Drugs, Alcohol, Taxi Networks, Threats, Violence, And Trafficking To Maintain Control. Early Warnings Were Allegedly Ignored, Victims Were Mischaracterized As Troubled Teenagers Or "Child Prostitutes," And Authorities Were Accused Of Hesitating To Confront The Networks Out Of Fear Of Being Accused Of Racism. It Ultimately Took The Courage Of Survivors, A Vast Digital Evidence Trail, And Years Of Investigation To Bring More Than 40 Offenders To Justice. Operation Tendersea exposed one of the largest organized child sexual exploitation networks ever prosecuted in West Yorkshire. The abuse began as early as 1995 and continued until 2013, targeting predominantly White British girls between the ages of 11 and 17 who were selected because of learning difficulties, unstable family environments, social isolation, or time spent in the care system. The perpetrators deliberately targeted vulnerable girls using what investigators described as the "Boyfriend Model." Older men approached girls outside schools, parks, takeaway shops, and during ordinary daily activities such as paper rounds. They showered them with attention, affection, cigarettes, alcohol, food, gifts, and promises of love before gradually introducing drugs and isolating them from family and friends. Once control had been established, victims were trafficked between flats, hotels, cars, takeaway premises, and private addresses where they were repeatedly sexually exploited by multiple offenders. Threats, intimidation, violence, and fear were used to prevent disclosure, while the network coordinated abuse through mobile phones and social media. The majority of those convicted were British Asian men of Pakistani heritage who lived throughout Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Bradford, Sheffield, and the wider Kirklees area. Many worked as taxi drivers, takeaway employees, market traders, or in transport-related occupations, giving them mobility and regular access to vulnerable girls. The principal ringleader was Amere Singh Dhaliwal, known as "Prestos," a married father from a Sikh background who received a life sentence. Other convicted offenders included Sajid Hussain, who fled during his trial and was sentenced in his absence, Umar Zaman, who fled to Pakistan before later being arrested upon attempting to return to the United Kingdom, along with Abdul Rehman, Wiqas Mahmud, Mohammed Imran Ibrar, Mohammed Kammer, Nahman Mohammed, Usman Ali, Banaras Hussain, Abdul Majid, and Gul Riaz, among numerous others convicted during successive trials. Detectives seized mobile phones and computers, uncovering thousands of text messages, Facebook conversations, and digital communications showing offenders coordinating transport, sharing victims, arranging locations, and operating as an organized criminal network. By 2017, mass arrests followed, with 29 men initially charged.
