@JoeGoodberry So joe, It seems that with the day 2 picks Bengals should be targeting a CB, DE LB TE and OT IOL o based on how weak those groups are depth wise. How would you rank those positions from good to bad (1-6)?

@JoeGoodberry @JoeGoodberry I see that you guys put Mccoy Combine Athletic numbers to get the RAS score but didn´t put it on Delane, who also ran the 40 (4.35 as per below). Am I missing something related to not putting those numbers in the sheet? Thanks Joe as always! youtube.com/shorts/DdNmKGp…

There's been just 1 Pro Bowl Safety in the last 20 drafts that didn't have an RAS card. Eddie Jackson, 4th Round, 2017 Safeties that didn't do athletic tests and still went in the 1st Round: Malik Hooker & Karl Joseph The Safeties that didn't test this year projected to go top 180? Caleb Downs AJ Haulcy

@JoeGoodberry @zimwhodey @TigerKigndom @thecasualbengal chiefs might have multipe targets, Delane and Mccoy with their 1st pick - Chris Johnson and Hood with their second 1st pick. I see them going one of those directions in the 1st round (replacing md duffie) and take another one in day 2/3 (replacing watson)

@JoeGoodberry WSH at 7th could be a sweet spot right? In case they want either Downs/Styles/Bain or whoever? they don´t have a 3 rd pick so would you give up oru 3rd round to get one of those guys?

@JoeGoodberry Am I tripping to much if I say I have him over Mccoy? I know teams will be afraid of him due to the length, aside of that he is Dawg!

@JoeGoodberry He even mentions that it´s a big topic and mentioned the bengals as example. Maybe that matters at the end! @JoeGoodberry

@JoeGoodberry @JoeGoodberry Joe do you think the Bengals are Ok dealing with a similar "pain in the ass" (or potentially same) agent as Shemar with las year contract holdout? would you think that will matter at the moment of picking at 10? check Todd McShay min 29:35 open.spotify.com/episode/7DZe5w…

@JoeGoodberry Men thanks for the comparison! I try to be positive despite the bengals FO shooting themselves in the foot with the contract structure. I see a better offense and in terms of dt/cb1 and 2/ SS i see some parity! Can we get edge Lbs and the rest of the depth + draft picks step up?

@JoeGoodberry Can we compare it joe? We still could have a top 10 offense like that year (and a way better oline) and that defense was top 12-15 right? If we hit on the recent defensive signings plus the draft picks (and a healthy burrow). I dont think we are that far away, what do you think?

We want the Bengals roster to be better than 2021-2022 not just better than 2024-2025.

@AlbertBreer why the bengals stopped signing people after day 1 with a lot of cap space left? are they done in free agency?

From The Insiders on @NFLNetwork: A few days before free agency, #Broncos star DE John Franklin-Myers joined the show to discuss what he expects next week and exactly where he'll land (or not, but we tried).

@GridironGrading I believe players agents tell them to not do Shuttles and 3-cones, as getting an injury on those ones might easier . May be they are great at them but they prefer the proday might be easier as combine creates a lot of fatigue. The assumption can be innacurate but I get yourpoint

Quick agility testing thoughts as we watch those participation rates continue to fall: Shuttles and 3-cones are 2 of the most predictive tests for prospects across all positions. We are now using an athleticism model that assigns 50th percentile scores to tests that are incomplete. Our reasoning is that if you are choosing to not do a test, it’s because you know the number and don’t want to show it. This isn’t a perfect way to do it but they are important tests and we don’t believe you can just assume that being good at the other tests means you’ll be good at agilities. So they’ll get knocked for it in our athleticism scores.

I've had something similar sent to me a few times, so I want to address this idea. 1) Are we expecting players to be perfect on every snap? You won't find that anywhere. 2) In 2 games vs Indiana in 2025, Dillon Thieneman got PFF grades of 72.9 and 73.0. He tallied 19 total tackles, 1 miss, 2 QB Pressures, had 9 defensive stops, gave up 3 catches for 11 yards and a TD.
Danny Steele@DannyPSteele

@JoeGoodberry I'm pretty out on Thieneman. He continuesly was cooked vs Indiana both times.

@JoeGoodberry @MattyBengakwr1 Hey @JoeGoodberry I tried @StickToTheModel page and tried the whole free agency/draft simulation and used some of your thoughts as of now. Didn´t force anything .. do you like some of the picks/signings made in this final depth chart?

@JoeGoodberry @PFF my only doubt with your picks is if it´s Dillon Thieneman a top 10 pick material player. Do you see him that talented and worthy of that pick? aside of that I love your approach!

@JoeGoodberry I’m sure youve answered this before, but is there a particular prospect you were Positive was going to be a stud nfk player that turned into a bust?

While you're watching the Texans defense, number 96 is who I compared Shemar Stewart to pre-draft. He's older now, but Denico Autry was a fun DE that played half of his career snaps at DT.
