Here is picture of a training fan and high jump bed an Indian high jumper I’m helping through @jameshillier78 The athlete built this in his back garden during lockdown. Where there is a will, there is always a way. #highjump

I think that this is a useful drill for comp preparation. Full run up with cone step over on the penultimate stride. Here Will Grimsey uses a good heel recover into his penultimate which help the inside knee come through with lots of energy. #highjump

@john_davie That’s why it’s there my friend. Start on the ground with tennis balls. Move onto sand with footballs. Then high jump beds with med balls. 20-30 seconds max. Take your time before graduating athletes through to the next stage. Have fun.

Movements are governed by thoughts, Thoughts are communicated on a breath, Therefore movement is controlled by breathing.

Change the emotion, not the technique.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan. A private funeral will be held, followed by a memorial service at a place and date to be announced when such gatherings may safely take place again.

Sir Eddie Kulukundis gently passed away at home on 17th of February. He did so much for athletes and coaches from the 1960's all the way through till the early 2000's. He was kind and generous, with a mischievous sense of humour. I loved him like a father. RIP Eddie. x

Looking forward to reading this and learning from Dr Paul Gamble; he has a scientist’s mind, and an artist’s heart. I’m sure this will be a great read.
