People can argue about J. K. Rowling all they like, but one thing nobody can take away from her is this: She has spent years using her wealth, influence and voice to support women, vulnerable children, survivors of abuse and causes most celebrities are too frightened to even speak about. Nearly £19 million donated in just the last year alone to charities supporting women and disadvantaged children. That matters. In an age where many wealthy public figures hide behind PR teams and silence, Rowling has been willing to risk her reputation, friendships, Hollywood backing and endless abuse because she believes women deserve protection, dignity, privacy and a voice. You may agree with her. You may disagree with her. But courage is standing by what you believe when it costs you something. And whatever history says about the Harry Potter books, I genuinely believe the work she’s done fighting for women’s rights and supporting vulnerable women will end up being even more important than the stories she wrote. Books can inspire generations. But helping real women in the real world changes lives forever. A lot of powerful people abandoned women because they were scared of backlash. J.K Rowling didn’t.

Just to be obvious, this is sarcasm and she is right. It is crazy to pretend everything is just about choice and doesn't have other implications in the society. Politics is crazy. Everything is put in black and white terms without a proper public discussion.

What it actually means is that two people with nothing faced a system that considers its job complete the moment the clock runs out and wishes you well with the particular indifference of paperwork. Apartment listings she had called ahead about. Bus routes to the community college. A list of employers who had hired former foster youth and treated them decently. Phone numbers with names attached and notes about who to ask for. She sat with us for four hours that afternoon going through every page... Then she wrote her personal cell number on the inside cover of both folders and said use it. We used it. Many times. More than we probably should have. She answered every time. My sister is a registered nurse now. I run a mentorship program for youth aging out of foster care. Miss Charlene came to both of our graduations. Front row. Same smile both times.

In this clip I break down the persuasion tactics, the reframing, the minimization, the false equivalencies, and the emotional language designed to make women doubt their own boundaries. Because women did not fight for shelters, prisons, locker rooms, rape crisis centers, and sports categories just for men to redefine them with polished talking points. And remember this line: if women’s discomfort is not a reason to exclude men, then men’s discomfort is not a reason to be included. If I had been "F*ck Pelosi and Biden" from 2021-2024, I would definitely have gotten more energy. We all know it's true. You don't go viral from being measured and you certainly don't go viral by defending Democrats. Being unmeasured about Democrats is the business model.

So I didn’t even learn about this til this year. There was a security glitch in a DNC system that housed the campaigns’ (extremely valuable) voter data in Dec 2015. Bernie staffers then knowingly and improperly accessed this data. One guy got fired. Two others suspended.
