@EastLndonGroup @BowArts Good morning Alan. Rather dreading having to go to Mile End Hospital for a scan on Saturday, I was cheered when we first drove past St Clement’s, little changed from Grace’s painting and then seeing this changed but familiar view! 🌻

This is "Mile End Road" by Elwin Hawthorne from 1930. It featured in our exhibition "In the Footsteps of the East London Group" @BowArts last autumn. I have also attached Elwin's archive photo of the scene from 1930. #ElwinHawthorne #MileEndRoad #EastLondonGroup
