@AndyBillyions @OrevaZSN Dude stop trying to sidetrack the convo. Automation of labor is a separate but related issue. This argument was about the purpose of minimum wage which you seemingly still refuse to google.

Its designed for the lowest labor value employees who legally can be 14. So it does affect them. Anyway, that's not the biggest issue. Labor is going to continue to get squeezed because of automation. Raise the minimum wage and automation becomes more affordable. Automation is going to continue to get cheaper and better. Us simple humans are going to have a very tough time competing as time goes on. The value of human labor is going to plummet. We haven't even seen humanoid robots in full production yet but they are coming and they will disrupt everything. No increase in minimum wage will matter when there are no minimum labor jobs.

The minimum wage is meant to be the lowest wage you can live on and afford housing. So, for everyone saying "it's not meant to be that," yes, it is. That's why it's called the minimum wage.

Please just use Google. minimum wage was created to ensure a basic standard of living, protect workers and boost the economy. Current min wage does none of these things.

@godprobhatesme @OrevaZSN The point is that the minimum wage is for the minimum wage of the lowest possible paid person. Who legally can be 14. If minimum wage is so high that it must be livable then the 14 year old is pushed out and can't get a job because their skills are not worth that wage.

We got democracy, philosophy, science, art, architecture. You can also include Rome, who were not Christian for about 90% of their history.
