Here’s what I’ll do, Ronnie 2005. First things first- I won’t hide behind an anonymous profile bc I’m not a punk a$$ b*tch like you. Next thing I’ll do -is teach my kids to do the same. If you wanna talk shit put your name behind it unlike you. Next thing I’ll teach them- is to be sure you know as many facts as possible bf you write an article full of half truths you found on X so ppl like Ronnie2005 will gobble up as truths bc they hv no ability to critically think or do any research. Oh, and I’ll be doing all this teaching while I coach all three of my kids in every sport they play because no other assholes like you will volunteer to coach anything. Them my kids will beat your kids in everything. Like Tech is about to do. But you probably don’t even have kids so that’s a shame.

@CB10891481 @slmandel Ok. I’ll check bk w you on this…. Oh- and real quick - you think respected schools like FSU and Miami get in? Or nah? The UNC / Stanford reference was a nice touch by the way.

@handlewin @slmandel Consolidation is coming. Or the SEC/Big10 bolting to form their own league. Respected schools like UNC, Stanford, Virginia, etc will get invited. Renegade 4th tier junior colleges that SUE everyone so they can play degenerate gamblers won’t. You are now last on the list.

Oh so, nothing I said was factually incorrect. It’s just you say Tech had no choice. Tech followed the protocol as every college wud. But you said Tech has done “EVERYTHING WRONG”. But that is an opinion held by you. Not a fact. Just bc little Kelly doesn’t like it, doesn’t mean Tech is wrong. I honestly don’t understand what all you clowns are so vested in arguing w a lowly Tech grad abt this since we are obviously so sorry at everything and dumb??? It kinda makes me think I’m right abt everything…after…allllll….🤣🤣🤣 I’m done w this conversation but I’ll leave you w this. What he did was wrong. It’s obviously a “cardinal” sin according to you ppl. But so was playing players 5 years ago. I don’t think he plays. By mutual agreement. But if you understood the culture at Tech now between coaches and players - you’d prob understand there is a lot of compassion and - right now- a lot of ‘wtf do we do bc we can’t abandon this kid’ conversations going on. They do care abt that kid as much as you want to laugh or whatever. I know the staff. I’ve seen it 1st hand. So maybe just think abt the fact there is a human involved and it may take Tech some time to figure out how to unpack this situation. Bye.

@handlewin @fluffhead90 @slmandel Don't be a damn clown. You said TT ruled him ineligible when it was done solely to reinstate him They didn't want him off the team. They fought to keep him tooth and nail the entire time. You're facts were distorted. I corrected you.

@handlewin @fluffhead90 @slmandel You guys keep asking that stupid f***ing question. They are going to let a guy play that has a gambling addiction including betting on his own team. That strikes at the heart of the integrity of the sport. It has always been the red line in all sports, all levels, everywhere.

@mrlongshore @MattHayesCFB It’s almost like everyone thinks Texas Tech shud tell Sorsby “he buddy- sorry but Matt Hayes thinks even tho an injunction says you can play, you shudnt so we gotta cut you. We don’t want Matt Hayes mad at us” (Uhh ohhh- Here comes the rath of the integrity squad)

We all make decisions, Nate. We all must deal with the consequences of those decisions.
Nate Longshore@mrlongshore

I understand why people are uncomfortable with the Brendan Sorsby situation. Betting on sports as a college athlete is serious. Betting connected to your own team creates an obvious integrity concern. Nobody has to minimize that. But there is another side to this that college football people should at least be honest enough to acknowledge. When a player becomes part of your program, he becomes part of your football family. That does not mean you excuse everything. It does not mean accountability disappears. It means you do not abandon him the second the situation becomes difficult, public, or uncomfortable. There is a difference between defending the person and defending the mistake. Texas Tech is in an impossible spot. Deep down, they may have hoped the final ruling would remove the decision from their hands. Exhaust every option, support the player, let the process play out, and if he is ruled ineligible, accept it. That is the cleanest outcome for a program trying to balance loyalty, discipline, public pressure, and competitive integrity. But now the court has ruled that he is legally allowed to play. That changes the structure of the decision. If Texas Tech turns its back on him now, what message does that send to every player and family they recruit? That we will fight for you until the pressure gets too loud? That we will call you family when you are producing, but distance ourselves when standing beside you becomes inconvenient? If I were recruiting against Texas Tech and they abandoned him after he was legally cleared to play, I would use that every time. Not because the mistake does not matter, but because trust matters. Families want to know what happens when their son is injured, struggling, accused, embarrassed, or sitting in the middle of a situation nobody wants attached to the program. Accountability and loyalty are not opposites. You can believe justice should be served. You can believe the integrity of the game matters. You can believe gambling violations deserve real consequence. You can also believe that a program should stand by its people through the full process, not just through the easy parts. That is the hard part of family. You do not only fight for your people when the optics are clean. You fight for them through the good and the bad, while still demanding accountability, treatment, discipline, and truth. Texas Tech may not like the position it is in. Most programs would not. But once he is legally allowed to play and remains part of the Red Raider family, abandoning him strictly because of social pressure would send its own message. And that message may be harder to overcome than the controversy itself.

lol- no, I said Tech hasn’t done anything wrong. And they haven’t. As stated - bc you don’t like they haven’t “cut him from the team fast enough” doesn’t mean they have done anything wrong by way of the NCAA. They have complied 💯 w the NCAA. Now they will have to navigate what to do with the injunction. And oh, by the way, the NCAA also ruled that none of Sorsby’s be Otts affected the “integrity of the game” so there’s that.

@handlewin @fluffhead90 @slmandel Dude, you pitched a damn fit saying TT suspended him-- acting like that it was done to do the right thing. That wasn't the case at all The judge's ruling is irrelevant if TT wanted to do the right thing. Just admit you care more about winning football games.

I never said they didn’t. All I said is once the appeal process was completed and denied by the NCAA- he was deemed ineligible by Texas Tech. They didn’t file the injunction, nor did they file it on his behalf. He filed it on his own on his own dime. I seriously doubt he plays, and it wont be bc he can’t - but tech needs time to figure out what to do. And the fact that people like you are on here piling on that they haven’t done it fast enough or whatever- is preposterous because any/every school in the nation who just lost their QB unexpectedly and has a chance to make a run would be doing the exact same thing as Tech in this unprecedented situation. That’s my problem.

@handlewin @fluffhead90 @slmandel Sorry clown, you left off a lot that transpired. TT didn't just suspend him to suspend him. They did it totally to adhere to procedural requirements to formally petition the NCAA for reinstatement. Texas Tech then appealed the NCAA's ruling

Tech ruled him ineligible, you clown. Sorsby filed an injunction and won reinstatement.. So you think they should just go ahead and say ‘sorry kid you’re out of here’ without figuring some things out over the next few weeks.? Just like Texas would do the exact same thing with arch Manning. This bullshit grandstanding is so fking annoying from you people. Texas wud absolutely unequivocally being doing the same exact thing as Tech. Oh- and what abt the Texas player who also got caught illegal gambling a few years back and he was reinstated and just had to pay back his bets to the charity of his choice?? But we’re not talking about that are we.? I know I know ur Texas so you okay by different sets of rules. Give me a fking break w the sanctimonious bullshit. This shit didn’t even happen when he was at tech, nor did tech know anything about it until recently. This was supposed to be their quarterback and now by the letter of the law he has been ruled eligible. Whether you like it or not, they don’t have to abide by what you think is ethically or morally correct and you really don’t have much ground to stand on being a Texas fan. And there’s a pretty good chance he doesn’t play at tech this fall. But y’all have all jumped on the stupid Twitter pundit bandwagon, claiming how terrible tech is with about half the fking facts and a bunch of half truths so go off boy. Man I sure hope we get to play you clowns w Hammond and dog walk your asses .

@handlewin @fluffhead90 @slmandel You make no sense. Tech has done everything wrong. They know he broke NCAA rules. And that he committed the cardinal sin in sports. They have yet to just announce they have terminated his scholarship, removed him from the program and cancelled his NIL.
