In 2025, Timothy Saina, 48, from Megun in Kapseret Constituency, lost his left hand in a grass-cutting machine accident. The injury ended his work as a cattle herder, the job he had relied on for years. With no income and a family to support, meeting daily needs became difficult.
I gave him a posho mill because he can no longer do manual labour. The machine will help him cover school fees for his children and fend for his family. It won’t replace his hand, but it gives him a way to earn without relying on others.
