To those that call for a kinder, gentler Dem party, I give you the 1988 election, the 2000 recount, the Garland nomination, and Russia interference (among others). We are in a fight for the survival of this nation as we know it. It is no time for fake fighters or weak knees.

But do not, sir, suggest that any of us ought to listen meekly to what you report and then just shuffle quietly along. No, we will not.

So when you hear us pushing back on our legislators and leaders or challenging our neighbors to do what's right then you can rest easy at night knowing that you have continued the proud legacy of the freedom of the press.

You are correct, Gary, that it is your job to report the news. If you are doing it well then you will do it impartially and without bias. If people attack you, personally, for doing that job then that is not okay.
