Critical fire weather is expected Friday across the Northern Plains, Upper Midwest, and southern High Plains due to gusty winds and low humidity. We're approving over $5.4B in Public Assistance funds to reimburse states, local governments and health facilities for costs associated with the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exercise simulated a mass casualty response and was evaluated by FEMA’s National Exercise Division personnel, testing the operational coordination of the city’s Public Safety, Health and Emergency Medical Services ahead of the 8 World Cup matches taking place in Atlanta.

On May 4, the city of Atlanta held a full-scale training exercise at Centennial Olympic Park in preparation for this summer's upcoming #FIFAWorldCup matches. Over 150 personnel from @Atlanta_Police, @ATLFireRescue, @GradyHealth, @ATLPreparedness and FEMA participated.

With damaged ports, rough seas and urgent needs on the ground, the Navy’s Landing Craft Air Cushions helped transport generators, fuel tanks, vehicles and other heavy cargo that could not move by helicopter.

After Super Typhoon Sinlaku left communities across the CNMI without power and water, FEMA worked with the @USnavy to move critical supplies quickly from Guam to Saipan and Tinian.
