@AJGray28 To some extent! Learning from pre-existing code and reusing stuff that works is always a good idea.

@infinitelydead Thanks! I hope my characters’ mechanics aren’t as complex, but is it common to use already existing code as the base of your character and then to build off of that?

@AJGray28 Bertran took about a year to make developing him on and off, with around 4 years of experience prior. He's a very complex character compared to most, though, and Lua is an easy language to learn, so I wouldn't let that hold you back too much!

@infinitelydead Hey, I was thinking of getting into coding so I could make my own characters, but I don’t know what the coding process is like. How long did it take you to make the Bertran mod and how long had you already been coding in Lua?
