This is the ‘oh… he’s not just an edgelord’ thread for any recruiters doing the homework. The online persona serves a purpose (brand), my edges are much softer IRL and when engaging in good faith debate, it’s just hard to come by on X so my profile paints a more combative persona. I’m eccentric, but I’m a realist who understands PEMDAS for goals. Manifesto driven ethical heavy ideology is personal north star target not immediate and only path. I much prefer shipping and working with a team on hard problems than writing letters to the void but the order of operations says it’s the most optimal path to that team. @xai

I’ve conceived a potential seminal solution to a hard problem AI voice companion apps face. Here’s the seed of the idea: Users could control their own chat history as use their own hardware to power TTS, this enables edge RAG. I’m calling it ‘concurrent user malleable processing upon the edge.’ This design could shift the load for voice gen and history management to the user’s local device to take some of the heat off of the cloud. ☁️ Seems like an idea that could be sticky. @xai would love to explore how this aligns with your vision for #companions in the #grok app.

Then you walk someone else through it, weaving that logic into their own web. Compressing something multidimensional into a one-dimensional stream looks like a bug, but it’s actually the feature. Writing is an opportunity to hold your invisible but tactile 3d thought in your hand. Feeling the edges, shifting the weight, shining light to cast shadows that reveal the form in 2d. Revisions needed become clear and anyone watching the cave wall can hold their own version of your thought.

@maximilian_ Yomi and game sense are still rewarded. Raising the skill floor via Modern Controls allows for more to play the real game. Yes more bad players too, and some will use it as a crutch. But imo we shouldn’t shit on people for making an effort to play. I genuinely think AI companions will become more emotionally important to millions of people than some of their actual friends. Not because humans are obsolete, but because most people are tired, distracted, flaky, and bad at listening. Is that dystopian or just honest?
