@GergelyOrosz One thing I’ve observed about token use - the more you’re using it inside your existing SDLC, the higher the spend. The folks using it *as* their SDLC are spending less, because the system provides better feedback, and benefits from caching (I suspect)

There is massive irony in how AI coding tools are starting to become TOO expensive for many enterprises - after eg Anthropic removed subsidizing AI subscriptions. We might go from "everyone use AI for everything!" to "you have $300/month AI budget; use your brain for the rest."

@adamhjk Hi Adam, quick question in the context of”Build the machine that builds your code “ would you use a different Ai as the machine then the AI that actually builds the code I.e. Claude is the coder and Copilot is the caretaker how to build. Just curious your thoughts thx in advance

The vibes don't scale. If the way you use AI Agents is to point them at a code base and let them rip, you're going to learn the lesson we've learned: it's the fastest way to a fully degraded code base and a mess of random architectural patterns. Instead you need to be thinking about building the machine that builds the machine - the set of skills that you want to apply, the architecture pattern you follow, and the things you want to ensure are true through testing. @adamhjk @sogrady Thank you for sharing your insight Adam. I can honestly say I’m camp 2 but dabble in camp 3. I think camp 3 is really risky. In my experience the AI goes wild Wild West really quick if you’re not careful. Only folks with real tribal knowledge can catch when AI goes off rails 😂

I really don’t understand why Trump is so mad about the Democratic lawmakers’ TV ad stating the legal fact that soldiers don’t have to obey unlawful orders. But he is sending the FBI and Pentagon after sitting US Congress members over this ad! WHY? He’s acting as if they said “disobey Trump’s orders!” But that’s not what they said! The lawmakers said soldiers should disobey UNLAWFUL orders. If the President’s orders are LAWFUL, then he has nothing to object to — or worry about. But for some reason, this week Trump called for the death penalty for these veterans in office. The only rational explanation: this is a very odd way for us to find out that Trump’s orders aren’t lawful. Because as we say in the south, “the hit dog barks.”

When I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school, four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents. In combat, I had a missile blow up next to my jet and flew through anti-aircraft fire to drop bombs on enemy targets. At NASA, I launched on a rocket, commanded the space shuttle, and was part of the recovery mission that brought home the bodies of my astronaut classmates who died on Columbia. I did all of this in service to this country that I love and has given me so much. Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death. If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.
