@ShaunyRye 1. Because he didn't sign a new contract (pretty sure he would have if he wanted to stay). 2. Carrick went on the record saying he wanted him to stay at Middlesbrough.

Can't begrudge Chuba Akpom moving to Lens to play Champions League football, but it leaves a really bitter taste. Tweeting to hint at wanting to stay and playing the hero card on podcasts after one good season is pretty bold when you know you're likely to be leaving. #Boro #UTB

@PhilSpenc23 Very solid with loads of positives and always looking to support attacks. Post Christmas though he seemed to have one big error per match in conceding possession in dangerous areas needlessly with a sloppy pass etc.

I was guilty of writing Tommy Smith off at the start of the season as being a bang-average Championship player. Now, I eat my words. Our most natural leader, I think he's got a huge role to play in helping Middlesbrough in the season(s) ahead under Michael Carrick. #Boro #UTB

@virginmedia how can you justify levying £25.00 charges if fail to cancel a "now resolved" tech visit but you fail to reciprocate the gesture when YOU cancel a visit and fail to notify the customer with the cancellation being due to an "outage" at your end? Shambolic&insulting
