@joecarlsonshow The bottom 50% still pay other taxes that they cannot get out of - Sales tax, property taxes, payroll taxes, etc. that's a much higher percentage of their income compared to the wealthy. And they don't have the benefit of high priced accountants to help them offset these.

This is being viewed as a benevolent billionaire when in reality he’s saying the bottom 50% already pay so little in taxes it’s basically irrelevant.

Here's how I see things playing out: Trump says to cap credit card rates at 10%. Trump learns from many bankers (like Jamie Dimon) how incredibly damaging and disruptive it would be to really do that. They agree to work on a heavily watered-down walked-back version of this, where they implement some new rules and policies to give some groups better rates. This new watered down version will be flown around as a big win for the administration. If we really do get a situation where credit cards are capped at 10% interest. I will be selling my Mastercard position. My thesis incorporates ongoing moderate regulation. I can allow for some thesis-drift. But I can't allow for extreme-thesis creep that materially worseness an investment. My original thesis does not incorporate top-down strong-armed price controls.

I just bought into $CRDO for the first time. It's been flashing up in my spreadsheet as undervalued for quite some time and after a bounce off this key support at $132 I thought it was nice. When you have a stock in a bottleneck part of AI (interconnect) set to grow revenues 173% in FY26, EBITDA 300%, net income 310%, and GAAP EPS 550% you take note. When that stock trades for 16x NTM sales, 35x EBITDA, and 42x PE you appreciate it's valued high but you understand it's valued high for a reason. 300% EBITDA growth for 35x EBITDA doesn't even feel that high to me. Then add in the fact that $CRDO has been holding up nicely the last couple days on an optics flush. $COHR down 8% today, $CIEN down 13% and $LITE down 11%... whilst $CRDO is flat. $CRDO did drop ~25% when these other optics stock were ripping before but that was on complete misinformation post CES 2026 keynote when Jensen spoke about Rubin having a "cableless" design. This is nothing to do with $CRDO. Finally, investors worried about $CRDO's lack of optics when optics is likely set to dominate in 2-3 years. $CRDO are all over optics. They have BlueBird (Optical DSPs) and they have ZeroFlap (optics products). On top of that, they're set to dominate the next 2-3 years with AEC's. Compare $CRDO growth rates in FY26 and FY27 to peers like $COHR and $LITE and it's not that close. $CRDO are set to win the next 2-3 years and they'll also be a key player in optics after that. Long $CRDO.
