@LundukeJournal "at this time" is not a substantive statement. It is leaving the door open. Only interested in those that categorically say NO!

Arch Linux Says Opposing Age Verification is Code of Conduct Violation "They don't like someone they consider as part of the [Arch Linux] core dev teams being called out like that. What you did broke the Arch Linux CoC."

@thefuzzstone There are really only two viable paths forward: either a mass revolt by citizens who refuse to tolerate this any longer, or we take matters into our own hands by building decentralized services and resilient private networks that can't be controlled or shut down from the top.

Age verification in 'systemd' is just the beginning. The next logical step for the state would be to say: "A file stored locally is not a reliable source of information, because a goy might lie", and that some trusted government source is needed to verify each slave's KYC information (name, email, phone number, tax ID, bank account, vaccination passport), and issue them a key (identifier) that the slave can insert into 'birthDate' (.JSON), and only then will the slave be allowed to access the internet. 1) an unverified goy cannot install certain apps/programs/packages; 2) an unverified goy cannot use certain services; Also, it would be logical to ensure that software created by an unidentified developer is considered terrorist software and cannot be installed even if the system user is verified. And the very attempt to install such software would be automatically reported to the government. #StallmanWasRight

@alcazarsec @unredacted_org Give us the examples, they need mass promotion so that users take a look..the option is always there should they want it then.

@unredacted_org Those already exist, but people stay on the ad-supported, closed-source, centralized social networks. And a social network without a critical mass is quickly rendered useless.

- Linux will forever be unrestricted. - Open source will multiply daily. - AI will be uncensored. - Internet will always remain private and anonymous. - Free speech is universal, not subject to the sick interpretations of temporary tyrants and their perverted ideas. - We will endure, their days are numbered. That’s why they fear us so much.

this absolutely baffles me. why are so many linux distros basically just caving on adding age verification, and closing off discussion on whether this is a good idea or not. Devuan is looking like a good contender to get around this.
XLibre@XLibreDev

We'd like to dedicate today's #LiberatedScreens to @DevuanOrg & Co. After systemd recently merged infrastructure code for age verification and locked discussions afterward, some of you may want to consider init freedom. Please see devuan.org/os/init-freedom for your options. #XLibre

Would systemd add a "totally optional" race field just because some white supremacist shithole country wanted it? Of course not: doing that would be sending a very clear message of racism. An age field is not harmless. It's a very strong political message of support.
Sam Bent@DoingFedTime

@juhakall @eksosedron Compliance theater. The field is optional so Lennart can say systemd enforces no policy, but it's in the codebase and it's not going anywhere. Remember when seat belts were 'optional'?
