Wanted to be the boss of all init systems, ended up as an office suite: systemd-resolved, systemd-oomd, systemd-logind, systemd-sysusers, systemd-homed and more mess in logs, tmp files, mounted volumes and soon boot loader! Egomaniac, or simply deaf?

Rolling GNU/Linux distro done right: @Gentoo never imposed systemd and even built ways around it. Arch chose the opposite path: tighter coupling, less choice, and recent censorship of @XLibreDev that raises eyebrows.

Is WRONG to say that @DevuanOrg is just a systemd free distro. After the Debian systemd debate, a big chuck out of the best Debian veterans left to start Devuan Devuan is the original Debian in terms of philosophy and the way of doing things. This proves, again they were right!

@jaromil @DevuanOrg I don't think removing machine-id forcefully is a good idea. I'd rather give each software its own unique machine-id. But thanks for your contribution anyway. It got people talking and worrying about identifiers.

In 2019 we removed machine-id from @DevuanOrg and we will remove age verification now. "AgelessLinux" is based on Debian, a foundation made to spy on users in a way or another, because it tracks machine-id. linux.slashdot.org/story/19/11/30…
