Not so long ago, Donald Trump posted a picture of a bound & gagged President Biden in the back of a truck. Trump didn’t apologize & he didn’t take it down. I wrote about it here; the analysis stands up in light of the indictment of Jim Comey today. joycevance.substack.com/p/we-need-to-t…

School Shooting: There’s nothing we can do about this. Don’t politicize these tragedies. Political Shooting: We need a $400 million bunker built immediately and you hate America if you don’t agree.

@tedlieu @mosswood_pixie @SecRubio But Donald’s priorities are about putting his fat face or gilded name on every possible surface, not the well-being of the American people. He’s motivated to get revenge for perceived slights and insults, too. But he has to leave his greasy handprints on our monuments.

There's a massive opportunity cost to every Trump outrage. The bunker, the ballroom, the arc, political prosecutions, the Kennedy Center, coins with his head on them, a passport with his head on it—all wasted taxpayer money and government resources/time. nbcnews.com/politics/justi…

February 5, 2025. Trump announces he is going to build a new ballroom at the WH and pay for it with his own money: “It’s going to cost nothing. I will spend the whole thing myself.”

Why shield pesticide makers from the law? The provisions should be removed. If pesticide companies make a good product, they have nothing to worry about. If they make a product that causes harm, then they need to face the consequences JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY IN AMERICA.

What an absurd statement. Political violence is NEVER acceptable. PERIOD. What Cole Allen did was reprehensible and we're grateful the President was uninjured. This finger pointing from people like Katie who haven’t just tolerated, but amplified, Trump’s dangerous rhetoric is offensive. The President has openly celebrated the deaths of his political opponents, called Democrats and immigrants "vermin," "demonic" and "evil" "animals" who are "poisoning the blood of our country." He regularly uses violent language, threatens to arrest and jail his political enemies — while describing the attempt to overthrow our democracy on January 6 as a “beautiful thing.” The same folks cheering Trump’s threats don’t get to rewrite the narrative now.

Katie Miller on WHCD suspect: It's no mistake this man hailed from the state of California and that of Gavin Newsom who is one of the worst offenders of this violent political rhetoric that sparks this man's imagination.

If they're willing to storm the Capitol by the thousands, chanting for the death of the Vice President of the United States and Speaker of the House, then pour into the Capitol by the thousands attacking cops and defecating everywhere, imagine what sort of Nazi gives them $250M

Rep. Balint on the Republican push to use taxpayer funds to build the ballroom: We want to pay for bridges and roads. We want to keep Americans safe. What do they want to do? They want to kiss the president’s ass over and over again.

“It’s a war.” That’s what Todd Blanche told the Federalist Society a few months ago while asking lawyers to join the fight against “rogue activist judges” — even as violent threats against judges rise. He’s the last person who should lecture anyone on dangerous rhetoric.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

Blanche: "Many people in this room have done it as well. They're just as guilty as a lot of people on X. When you have reporters, when you have media just being overly critical and calling the president horrible names for no reason and without evidence, it shouldn't surprise us that this type of rhetoric takes place."
