In September 2025, I dove headfirst into vibe coding, a journey to build and ship products I genuinely wanted to use. Inspired by the incredible community at Lenny's Newsletter, I set out to create a different kind of software. My mission is simple: build a family of apps that respect your privacy. That's why every VextoApp is 100% on-device, with no tracking and no cloud. Just useful tools that work for you. Here are the 11 tiny tools I've built so far: ✨ Productivity & Creativity • AuraTimer: ⏳ A gamified Pomodoro timer to make focus fun. • NoteSprout: 🎙️ Instant voice-to-text notes for when ideas strike. • IdeaSpark: 💡 A visual idea board to connect your thoughts. • PixelPalette: 🎨 Extract beautiful colour palettes from any image. 🔒 Privacy & Security • PrivacyNest: 🛡️ A curated directory of 50+ privacy-respecting apps. • EclipSend: ✉️ Send encrypted, self-destructing files with zero-knowledge encryption. • JetLag: 🚀 A one-click, ad-free internet speed test. 🌿 Everyday Life • Basil: 🌿 Your personal, offline recipe manager. • TallyPal: 🧾 Effortless bill splitting with friends, no accounts needed. • Luna: 🌙 A simple, beautiful, and 100% private period tracker. 💖 For the Family • BusyBee: 🐝 A special project I built with my daughter! It’s a fun, gamified productivity app to help kids (10+) manage tasks, build habits, and celebrate their wins. She uses it every day. This journey has been an incredible exploration of building with purpose. It’s about creating quiet, useful technology that puts people first.

Brian, do you mind sharing what you're smoking these days? I would love to get some of it, so you're saying, and hopefully you're actually hoping that in the future we will have some kind of technology that we won't get old. Like, seriously, mate, I just want to remind you of one thing: every soul shall taste death. There is no denying, and every soul and human body will get old. Nothing can stop that. Mark my words, and you can engrave this in stone.

Getting old shouldn't be viewed as inevitable, just because it happens to everyone. It's a disease that kills over 100,000 people a day, and hopefully it will be optional in the future.

No doubt about that. Shit is about to go crazy but I honestly think, in my humble opinion, with Demis leading DeepMind and Sergey back at Google, focusing on all of the AI initiatives with both of them working hand in hand, and I don't know other execs that might be there behind the scenes. I have a feeling Google will again dominate the AI industry. Look at the recent release of Google Stitch as well as Google AI Studio. They will catch up and they're going to be dangerous.

yo i just realised with openAI out of the picture - Apple & Google are about to go to war over the most valuable moat: consumer ai - openai and anthropic focused on coding & enterprise - microsoft focused on enterprise - Meta fucked up, gonna use google - xAI catching up Apple has spent $0 (ZERO) on AI, sitting on $130 billion war chest to turn Siri and iOS into the best ai operating system Google doesn’t have a good track record in consumer BUT they have all the distribution and data. they’re also powering apples AI… shit is about to get v interesting imo

I think very few people understand this but it's people that build the company and unfortunately today's execs are more than happy to let go of their most valuable people when it comes to numbers on the sheets. Any organisation's culture is built by its people and the irony is very few organisations, I should say, understand this.

They do and I agree with you. All of the devs that I've worked with over the course of the last 15 years as a professional. I think developers always have great ideas but the problem with them is that they are not able to articulate these ideas as a product person can do. Here's the clear distinction between a developer and a product person. Now if a developer was able to articulate the ideas they had in their mind, then that's a very dangerous combination, I think.

@Its_Nova1012 I think 2026 is going to be the agentic revolution. Every AI company right now is trying to capture the attention of us or the wider audience on how you can best utilise their AI agents. It's crazy times to be alive honestly.

And the worst part is it's going to get worse every day. I have given up completely on buying a house. I've just said to myself I'll live on rent for as long as I can live and if it ever comes to a point where I can't find rental property, I'll just move overseas but honestly buying a house is horrific at the moment.

Honestly just my humble opinion, I always thought the metaverse is going to be a failure. I could never see myself sitting in a room wearing a headset or even not wearing a headset or wearing anything or interacting with an object that takes me into a metaverse and interacting with my colleagues. Honestly that just does not make sense or probably we as humans are not ready for something similar.

As someone who worked at Reality Labs: the Metaverse had real legs but was obliterated by middle management completely out of touch with how young people actually use technology. I built a V1 tool that game developers genuinely needed, and the moment it was done, it got shipped to a team in London (to die), and I was reassigned to a "higher-priority project" that zero developers asked for. Multiply that by every team, and you'll understand why this never took off yet cost 80 billion.
