What's worse is that this whole model glorifies shipping in 3 months, which is exactly why 9-figure hacks happen every week. You cannot hackathon your way into secure infrastructure. Applying deep math to consensus takes time. You have to mathematically prove invariants so the system doesn't collapse. Grants are a blessing, but treating high-assurance engineering like a 90-day sprint is just creating a massive systemic risk for everyone.
