After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down the Overload project. We initially started the project in a different restaking landscape from today with the idea of moving consensus onchain. However, as the restaking field has matured, it has become increasingly more competitive and we believe today the best course of action would instead be to wind down. We thank everyone for being with us thus far. With the wind down, we will disable restaking on the front-end and will keep unstaking enabled for another 6 months. For users that unstake later than 6 months, we refer to docs.overload.finance/overview/wind-… of how a user can unstake directly through Basescan.

We are excited to introduce the Omnichain Restaking Layer, an innovative approach that offers a flexible and modular architecture, which enables validation across various blockchains instead of a single chain. Overload will allow any asset from any chain to be used to secure Actively Validated Services (AVSs), expanding the scope and applicability of restaking by utilizing @LayerZero_Labs decentralized crosschain messaging infrastructure.
