@PhaentGames I get teary-eyed maybe about that often. Maybe 20% of the time a tear or two escape, probably while watching a movie
Had a decent cry a few weeks ago though an it was so cathartic. Wish I could tap into that more often, and without something terribly distressing coming up

@carmenleelau Reading this was bittersweet for me as I have always tended to be timeless with poor short term memory. It can be beautiful and peaceful but the costs are real too. Thank you for expressing both so well

My trick to staying happy is to pretend I’m a hunter from the last Ice Age transported to our time. Suddenly the smallest things – glass windows, locks, bound books – are marvels beyond telling. The tap runs with ever-flowing water. I’m grateful not to be impaled by a boar.

@Medievalists "Transcribed" is not an accurate word to describe what they did to these manuscripts. You could say they "tronscribed" or "vranscribed" them, I guess.

as somebody who got into nicotine for the right reasons, (peer pressure, undiagnosed adhd) here’s 2 things
1) everybody has a drug of choice, and you don’t want to find out what yours is
2) nicotine is habit forming. so don’t make a fucking habit of doing it
