We forced the world to see what Pakistan really was, An Exporter Of Terrorism. For years after that, Pakistan struggled to find legitimacy, let alone a seat at any serious global table. That was India asserting itself. Now look at where we stand. Less than a year after the Pahalgam Terror Attack, Pakistan is back, engaging with global powers, being entertained diplomatically, even finding space in conversations it had no business being part of. What changed? Did Pakistan reform? No. Did terrorism stop? No. So the obvious question is, what did GOI fail to do? The govt sent delegations of MPs across the world to "expose Pakistan." Fair enough, on paper it sounded like a strong move. But today, it is fair to ask: what came out of it? Because from where things stand, the outcome is painfully clear. NOTHING. Zero! Taxpayers funded those visits. Optics were created. But where is the result? Where is the diplomatic isolation? Where is the sustained pressure? Instead, we see Pakistan being casually discussed as a "mediator" in global conflicts. And India? Silent. Not even a strong objection. Not even a clear position. Why? Are we okay with this normalization? Are we comfortable letting the narrative slip? A tweet by Shehbaz Sharif making a fool of himself is not India’s victory. At best it's distraction for Indian public. Real victory would have been this: - No country engages Pakistan without accountability. - No global forum legitimises it without consequences. That is not happening. And if it's not happening, then we need to be honest, our foreign policy, on this front, is failing. It's failing on every front. You can dress it up in domestic PR for Modi. You can amplify noise. But the world doesn’t move on hashtags. It moves on sustained pressure, clarity, and consistency. If we stop asking these questions because they are uncomfortable, then we are not being patriotic, we are being passive. And a passive nation slowly loses its ground.
