DCF Mohite -"In 2013, we had 5000 staff all across MH, now this number is below 1000, and only 30-40 for Pune" This is one reason for the sad state of urban forests in Pune today. @Dev_Fadnavis must answer for why the State Forest Dept is struggling for manpower and forest guards. Sir besides water purchase costs are the following; 🛑 Cost of Power for processing water 🛑 Salaries paid to an Operator appointed 🛑 Cost of chemicals needed for processing 🛑 Maintenance cost of WTP & Electrical equipments associated A Society like ours buys roughly #water for 180000 each month #Costof power 18000 p.m. #Operatorsalary 20000 p.m. #chemicalcost 10000 p.m. #WTPmaintenance 10000 p.m. (includes Electrical maintenance) i.e. 35% additional costs. If that be the case the Developer ought to reimburse these costs as it adds additional load on citizens many of whom are retired. Hence we are paying these costs for 20+ years unheard of. Hence instead of providing Swimming Pools, Gyms, etc, basic infrastructure ought to be provided. It's a scam of disproportionate levels which is never attended to. #SOLUTION : BRING A MOROTORIUM ON CONSTRUCTION TILL SOME RELIEF IS PROVIDED IN PUTTING IN PLACE BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE !! We know that there is no political will in providing the above as a 'give & take' situation exists between Developers & Authorities who pass on the miseries to the buyers. Is this, SAB KA SAATH SAB KA VISHWAS?

🚨 #PUNE WATER SCAM EXPOSE 🚨 Residents of #Undri, #NIBMAnnex, #Mohammadwadi & #Pisoli are being LOOTED in broad daylight by a shocking builder–official nexus around Water Affidavits 💧 👉 Builders submit a legally binding water affidavit during project approval promising water supply 👉 BUT during NOC stage, affidavits are allegedly manipulated/replaced 👉 Result: Residents are ABANDONED & forced to BUY tanker water for LIFE ⚠️ A society of just 200 families: • Spending ₹50 LAKHS every year since 2013 😡 • Total spend till date = ₹6.5 to 7 CRORES (hard-earned money drained) • Paying Property Tax + Water Tax • STILL NO pipeline water NETWOK in Undri hilltop This is not mismanagement — this is SYSTEMIC SCAM / FRAUD. Where is: ❌ Basic water infrastructure? ❌ Sewage systems? ❌ Roads & streetlights? ❌ Accountability from @PMCPune? “Har Ghar Jal Yojana” has COMPLETELY FAILED here. @MoHUA_India Builders act like: 👉 Law doesn’t matter 👉 Courts won’t act 👉 Citizens will stay silent ENOUGH. Over charging by Cab drivers in Pune . Yesterday 3 female employees took cab from Magarpatta IT park to Baner-Wakad by app the amount showed Rs480 however he asked as per meter which was Rs750 . Female employees paid the amount as our police , leaders , policy makers are failure in resolving this ongoing issue . We dont say cab drivers are at fault but what is forcing them to do this , are they exploited by cab companies ola , uber and in turn they are exploitaing commutors ? How can govt not have talks with cab unions and service providers and resolve the issue ? Already one employee was attacked what are we waiting on ? #PuneCabs #Techiesttacked @CMOMaharashtra @CP_PCCity @CP_PCCity @PratapSarnaik #Ola #Uber

This idea is welcome!! 👏🏻👏🏻However, solution to traffic congestion cannot be more new roads 🙏🏻 or capital intensive transport infra 🙏🏻 *We need a big shift in urban planning vision.* Think about this- Pune RTO that handles vehicle registrations for Pune city reported over 9 lakh motor cars as of Feb 2026. The volume of new cars is so high that it is shifting from the current ‘ZG’ two-alphabet series to a new 3-letter series (eg- MH12ABC) *Can there be enough roads for ever rising number of private cars?* NO! So far two main solutions are being pushed by @PMCPune - #PuneMetro and New Roads (tunnels, flyovers, road widenings etc). Existing Pune Metro network is inadequate (most of it is not even functional as of today). Hence, extensions are proposed. Will these extensions work? - 🤷🏻‍♀️ Parallely, flyovers and new roads are being proposed. These are at the cost of excavating and permanently damaging vital naturally existing water infrastructure of the city (Pune is a large watershed area). @VTBKS_Pune is fighting for many years to bring this point home! We cannot allow erasure of hills and urban forests for temporarily solving traffic problems. Once the hills- water infra, is gone the city will face severe water scarcity. (The groundwater level in some suburban areas in Pune already shows drop to below 450 feet!) Rapid loss of green cover shows rise in urban heat and high air pollution. There is more to it than water, the TOD linked Redevelopment policies in Maharashtra’s UDCPR are aimed at complete erasure of cultural identity of Pune city!! The cultural heritage of Pune is further fragmenting and fast vanishing. This directly impacts tourism in the city!! So frequently I get calls from different circles about what to show in Pune and how to entertain visitors. Pune’s tourism industry needs a serious thought. Since 1980s Pune has spent crores of ₹ in doing more than 30 traffic studies and all ask for better public transport!! But @PMPMLPune is still a mess. Basically, any decongestion plan for cities must not think of traffic and transport as technical issues but relate it to the wider political economy of traffic congestion and issues of urban equity! Thats the shift in the vision that we need. @raghav_chadha @CMOMaharashtra @aapforpmc @navalMH @PMCPune @sumitakale @parisarpune @harshadsustrans

Traffic has turned our metro cities into giant parking lots with people trapped inside them. In Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai, on average a commuter spends 100 to 168 hours a year stuck in traffic . Not commuting. Just sitting. Every hour lost is an hour India cannot get back. Productivity lost, fuel wasted, air polluted, quality of life damaged. I stood up in Parliament and demanded a National Urban Decongestion Mission for our big metro cities with better public transport, smarter traffic management and a scientific parking policy. We are not stuck in traffic. We are stuck because of it. And if India wants its economy in the fast lane, our cities need to start moving.

This should be opposed. Please leave our Empress Garden alone, one of the few green spaces of wounded #Pune. Why do judges want houses in this particular green haven? Enough of pampering those who don't give justice to the common man but snatch away our land!!! @PMCPune @navalMH

@ChaloPmc Those parroting the stale economy vs environment argument aren't planners, only crude 'concretects' making cities unlivable; not at all the consultants the city needs if all they do is commission motivated traffic surveys and fudge up data to declare unwanted roads as essential.

व्हिडिओ स्रोत: instagram.com/reel/C9uoJ32BL… व्हिडिओ क्रेडिट: @NagrikShastra @Dev_Fadnavis @mieknathshinde @rautsanjay61 @aparanjape @sudhirmehtapune @SalimAli_Bird @Marathi_Rash @g24punehs @MrMcgreely @AnathpindikaS @whattosayfolks @TamhiniGhat @PuneRivers @bonyuppal @SpeakUpPune @amardasbhalla @RajaSubramani22 @navipeth @sumedh_bp @KatYogesh @AUThackeray @Pushkaraj2020 @pushkar_k09 @VetalTekdi @mnsadhikrut @anilshidore @RajThackeray @mohol_murlidhar @MDNagpure @ChDadaPatil

This is so tragic& heart breaking.Authorities know only how to make cement structures but not how to monitor the Fire Brigade, in this case, one that did not work at the crucial hour, that too for 90 mins that the victims were howling for help.Sickening! Disgusting! Unpardonable!
