@YashwantM No-show on day of joining is pretty rampant despite continuous follow ups. I heard some startups loop them into few company lunch/get-togethers, etc during the notice period to gauge whether excitement levels are still the same.

There must be a list of sorts of candidates that accept an offer, sit on it for 45 days and decide not to join 4 days before the joining date. On one hand, it feels like we dodged a bullet but on the other hand ... argh
