My styrofoam carving includes this altar, placed outside my apartment. Instead of a Bible on top, I'm offering free items to help residents celebrate Easter, including bejeweled crosses and "get a grip with Jesus" jar openers. The altar actually is an upside down cooler.

I've made so many, one for each sport as well as special events, that they're taking over the home of the Senior Sooner. Too many to properly display.

I have frozen meals delivered in boxes with styrofoam planks 2-foot square and an inch thick. And as God would have it, inside those squares I saw OU greatness striving to escape. So I've learned to carve styrofoam using a red hot needle to produce this, uh, Sooner sculpture.

Diamond art, as it's called, do take a while. Peck, peck, peck, one *gem* at a time. I must be very exacting in all movements (let alone sneeze) or these itsy bitsies will go all over the place. Some with more dexterity can apply several at a time, but not this old codger.

In recognition of Bill Kauffman and the Sooner Magic Experience, I'm going freestyle on diamond artwork. The original had dark areas above and below the football which I'm customizing for him. Out of crimson beads, it's unfinished until I get more. (Psst: don't tell him or JT.)
