@lennysan Yes, it's the magic of open source, especially in the era of AI.

Even though every AI company is building their own version of OpenClaw (which is smart!), I haven't seen any of them get anywhere near the love and passion that OpenClaw inspires. There's something special about the OpenClaw experience that's hard to copy.

Gold dropped 10% in two days. Markets in chaos. Iran war week six. And we're packing for Chongqing this weekend. The systems I built with OpenClaw handle daily reports, portfolio alerts, and alpha radar while we travel. I still make every decision. I just stopped babysitting the process. Weeks of building gave me something better than returns: reclaimed attention. Stay Invested in the Game 🐍

@rexliu I actually think I have a pretty good grasp on human nature. And a huge part of it is entitlement. People start to feel owed something just because they showed up. But no one is entitled to outcomes, timelines, or someone else’s continued effort.

I get the frustration, but this misses something. Founders are allowed to evolve. Very few people understand what it takes to build something from zero into something people still use. They could have walked away, they didn’t. They passed the torch. That history is permanent.

SpaceBudz is entering a new chapter. But personally the project ended long before this announcement — roughly around the V2 design update in 2023, when everything went quiet. I got into CNFTs in 2022. Picked two projects: Clay Nation and SpaceBudz. Bought NFTs, changed my PFP, joined community discussions, and spread the word. I genuinely loved the SpaceBudz design. It was what taught me the real appeal of NFTs, and I spent over a year deep in that. I believe it started as a sincere experiment. Exploring Cardano, testing protocol possibilities — that part was real. But once you start something and people show up, it stops being an experiment. SpaceBudz had the foundation to become a lasting brand. The community was there. What disappeared was someone willing to carry it. After Ales stepped away and Nami was sold to IOG, I cleared my entire position in the second half of 2023. Lost over 50k ADA. No regrets. Here is the investment logic I keep coming back to: In crypto, talent matters less than commitment. You do not need to succeed — you need people to see you still trying. That is what holds a community together. Not roadmaps, not promises. The visible, ongoing effort of someone who refuses to walk away from what they started. Most projects fail exactly here. Founders allocate tokens to themselves first. When the market shifts or a shinier idea shows up, they pause and say they will return later. But trust does not pause. The people still holding your tokens and NFTs do not get to pause. You think there is still time. They do not. Honestly I know investing requires research and the ability to absorb losses. But they could have done better. And almost everyone needs to go through this kind of disillusionment before they learn to hold on only to what truly earns their conviction. That said, I'm grateful for the early team's effort and I respect those who've been carrying it forward. But I still do not like this outcome. Been there, done that.

I'm not mad at anything, And I'm not denying anything, but you just don't understand human nature. There are a lot of differences in how one approaches this topic and how things should be done. People don't care about what someone has achieved in the past. They only care about what will be delivered in the future. So like I said, that's it.

@rexliu You’ve seen a lot of founders end like this, but how many actually built something meaningful and pushed the chain forward? That list is short. Ales is on it. He promised nothing and still delivered. Hard to be mad at that.

SpaceBudz started as an experiment, a way to explore what was possible on early Cardano. That experiment is now coming to an end for us as creators, and we will be stepping away from the project. @TavernStudios (@Knackfish and @TristanUckie) will be picking up the project in its current form. Their intention is to honor what SpaceBudz has become and its history, while finding their own path forward with it. It has been a great journey. Thank you to everyone who collected, built, and believed in SpaceBudz along the way. Ales & Zieg

@rexliu Good points, especially when it comes to the perceived value of these projects. Leaders and their vision, as well as their commitment and trust, are a lot more important here than tech and roadmaps - which is also the nature of speculative markets.

@rexliu Ales effectively stepped away years ago; this isn't news so much as formal recognition of the fact, along with a couple of patsies who will now be blamed for the project's inevitable slow decline. Final phase of the experiment, I guess.
