@MacroAlf Alot of supply issues in Canada leads me to think this might be sustainable. There isn’t a signal party that can come along and dump a bunch of houses to crash the price. Also if rates come down as expected mortgage defaults may not be as bad as everyone thinks.

House prices adjusted for inflation since 1975. The charts for Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK look like a s**tcoin during a pump. The Japanese real estate bubble of the 1990s is barely visible as a comparison. Looks very sustainable...

Is it though? Bitcoins CAGR from 2012, not inception, (BTC price $13) would be 105%. CAGR from 2017 (BTC price $3,507) would be 71%. Cutting that by 20% and considering at 51% is super reasonable. It’s a high CAGR .. yes, but nothing has ever existed like bitcoin before, so…

If you're going to buy a Property with 20% down vs #Bitcoin, the numbers work out like this over 10 years: ~$500,000 property. $100,000 deposit. $2,333 monthly mortgage. Property value growth over 10 years is ~8% CAGR. So your total mortgage payments over 10 years = $279,960. Total money tied up including deposit over 10 years (minus costs): $379,960. vs. $100,000 into #Bitcoin at the ALL TIME HIGH of $69,000 = 1.44 Bitcoin. ONE TIME PURCHASE. At a 10 year CAGR of 51%. Assuming a 20% dip on CAGR between now and 2033. Currently it's 71%. The final value of the 1.44% #Bitcoin is: $6,162,677. $6.1M from an initial ONE TIME purchase of $100,000 of #Bitcoin. There is NO amount of capital appreciation or cash-flow wet dreams that can make Real Estate a better investment than #Bitcoin over the next 10 years. Stop getting duped. It's irresponsible to promote Real Estate at these levels with #Bitcoin as a viable savings tool. Just: Step 1: Buy #Bitcoin. Step 2: STFU. Step 3: Get Fabulously Wealthy.

Feels like too many people primarily collect for the attention they receive from collecting, not for their love of what they’re collecting. I made this mistake in 2021 and early 2022… think I’ve fixed it for the most part over the last year.
