The Government has launched a public consultation on proposals for Local Government Re-Organisation – the biggest change to Local Government in 50 years. This is the only opportunity for our communities to have their views heard as part of these reforms. I pushed for local referendums so residents could have a direct say, however this was rejected by Government. 📅 The consultation is live now until 23.59 on 26th March. It’s all about the edit. Today's two edited packages- Semley Fete and Motcombe Open Gardens. Each line is a cut! Thank goodness for @HindenburgNews software so Alfred Radio can tell local people's stories and honour their request to 'take my umms out' and 'make me sound great.'

The very first bus service has just arrived at the new stop at Stamford’s Cattlemarket Car Park 🅿️ this morning. The new service helps passengers to connect to @CrossCountryUK services from Stamford Railway station.

Rutland's local radio (that doesn't trouser a penny of the licence fee) doing a sterling job , especially now BBC Local radio is in a (badly) managed retreat. On a Saturday afternoon, too.
